PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT

Project-Wide Document Shredding Service

1.0 BACKGROUND:

The US Bureau of Reclamation (USBR), Grand Coulee Power Office (GCPO), Grand Coulee, WA, has a requirement for the shredding and proper disposal of sensitive documents from various offices located on Project. The Contractor is required to access multiple areas of the Project, on a pre-determined date. The shredding bins are Contractor-owned. There are currently forty-seven 64-gallon Contractor-furnished shredding bins located throughout the Project. The Government has the option of adding or removing the number of bins necessary and is only billed for the number of bins tipped on each visit.

2.0 PURPOSE:

The primary purpose is for the Contractor to furnish all labor, equipment (mobile shredder) and materials (shredding bins) to properly shred and dispose of sensitive documents including, but not limited to, drawings, reports, specifications, folders and files on a once-a-month basis throughout the year. The Contractor shall shred these documents on-site.

The Government anticipates making award of a base year plus four (4) option-year contract.

3.0 PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

3.1 Task 1 – As stated above, there are currently 47 64-gallon Contractor-owned shred bins located on Project. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a similar number and size of shredding bins. The Contractor shall perform the shredding on-site using a mobile shredder vehicle. The Contractor and Government shall agree on the day that shredding will occur each month. A yearly shredding schedule shall be provided by the Contractor.

4.0 CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Must be NAID AAA Certified in the location where work is to be performed.

B. Acquire mandatory security clearance and maintain throughout the life of the Contract.

5.0 SUBMITALLS:

The Contractor shall provide to the Contracting Officer (CO) the following documentation within 7 days of each shredding visit:

· A Certificate of Destruction.

· The final destination of the shredded material and its purpose.
