· This 3D bioprinter comes equipped with Clean Chamber Technology (pending patent US20180326665A1) to ensure a sterile bioprinting environment. Dual high-power fans pass air through two HEPA H14 filters to maintain a positive pressure in the printing area. The dual-HEPA filtration system retains 99.995% of unwanted particles and microorganisms, ensuring only sterile air flows through the printing area. It is equipped with UV-C germicidal lamps that purge the printing area of contaminants using automatic sterilization cycles.

· The 3D bioprinter uses exchangeable intelligent printheads (pending patent WO2018132057A1) that enable a wide range of printing and dispensing technologies including inkjet, thermoplastic, pneumatic extrusion, syringe-based mechanical extrusion and photocuring. The exchangeable printheads enable users to leverage new printhead technologies and enhanced software functionalities.

· The system’s design and patent-pending technology platform is optimized to provide higher cell viability compared to competitive platforms. The system is designed to operate at many pressures, enabling users to print hydrogels and control the shear stress experienced by cells. The system’s print speed reduces the time the cells spend in the printing environment.

· This instrument is a standalone system that can run using the built-in air compressor, touchscreen, and USB flash drive, eliminating the need for additional hardware, like a laptop or a pressure source. The system is also operable using desktop software depending on the user’s needs.

· The system’s compact design enables benchtop printing. The small footprint also ensures that the system can fit inside a biological safety cabinet, depending on the user’s needs.

· The bioprinter is CE-marked, third-party certified by Bureau Veritas according to IEC 61010-1 and UL 61010-1, and manufactured under the ISO 9001:2015 standard and all products are manufactured in-house.
