633rd FSS Russ CDC Linen Contract Hampton, VA 23665
STATEMENT OF WORK
14 September 2020
1. Background. This Statement of Work (SOW) defines the efforts required to secure a linen contract to provide bed linen and to launder it weekly before another child could use it as stated in Air Force 34-144 (AFI 34-144) to support Langley Russ Child development Center (CDC) programs.
2. Scope. The program has 250 + children enrolled from ages 1 year to five years not in Kindergarten. Daily, children have a rest/nap time, where they will be on mats or cots with bed linen (with the requirement of one bed linen per child.) The American Academy of Pediatrics and AFI 34-144 require that linen must be laundered weekly.

3. Objectives. It is important that the environment in the Child Development Center is hygienic and safe for the children at all times. The linens must be laundered using a water temperature of at least 140 degrees F. and completely dried after washing to prevent potential health threats to children or staff.
4. Task. The contractor shall provide for the CDC the following bedding items:

4.1 Delivery. Service to be performed:
Pick up 250 sheet draw, white, 54X81 weekly, between 1000-1100, every Thursday, at Russ Child Development Center, 117 Burrell Loop Road, Bldg. 70. Launder the sheets at 140 degrees farenheight and completely dry after washing to prevent potential health threats to the children.
Deliver the laundered sheets weekly, during the hours 1000-1100, on Tuesday, at the same location as the pick-up location. Vendor will provide the 2 laundry bags and the 250 sheet draw, white, 54X81.
4.2 Government furnished property. Will provide a storage space for laundry bag stand or cart.
5. Security Requirements: Delivery personnel and vehicle must meet the entry requirements for JBLE Langley security gates.
6. Place of performance. All bedding will be delivered 117 Burrell Loop Road, Langley AFB, VA 23665 (CDC Bldg. 70)
6. Period of performance. The period of performance is for one year starting 23 October 2020 thru 22 OCT 2021 with four option years of service.
7. GENERAL INFORMATION.
7.1 Base Access. The government JBLE-FSS will provide base access to all parties identified on an access authorization listing provided by the vendor if needed.
7.2 Building Access. All deliveries will be done during operational designated hours and days.
