Infection Control and Prevention Consultant
Technical Evaluation Criteria
· The individual must be a Certified Infection Control (CIC) Preventionist.
· Has significant clinical infection prevention experience;
· Has national recognition as an expert in the field of care and services in infection control and prevention;
· Leadership in a State infection control program
· Clinical expertise in nursing home care and experience with Survey & Certification processes, regulations, interpretive guidelines and surveyor training courses for nursing homes that reflect the provisions outlined in the Affordable Care Act.
· In-depth expertise in CMS policies and procedures, Regional Office policies and practices, and Nursing Home Survey Processes.
· Extensive epidemiology knowledge and experience;
· Skills to collect, interpret, manage, and report nursing home infection rate data;
· Substantial collaborative relationships with the CDC, advocacy groups, provider and physician communities, and other key stakeholders;
· Experience in collecting, interpreting, managing, and reporting data to internal and external customers, staff, and other stakeholders.
· Superior analytical, writing skills and presentation experience. Demonstrated experience as a speaker on Survey and Certification policies and procedures.
· Demonstrated ability to achieve delivery of comprehensive, written products within tight time frames.
