About this file
This document is a Brand Name Justification for the United States Naval Academy's request to procure Hack the Box software.

The platform is fully integrated into the Academy's cyber security curriculum and has been used since Academic Year 2021. Responses are due by 25 June 2024 and must include an authorized reseller letter from Hack the Box. Source Selection Information – See FAR 2.101 and 3.104 material with fully developed hands on labs as well. We have used this lab environment for our final exams to truly test the understanding of our Midshipmen in the SCY major. This system is already used by 400+
Universities and 800+ Corporations. US Navy commands leveraging HTB include 10th Fleet, Operational Test and Evaluation Force (COTF) and DISA. USNA also has an extensive STEM program that will benefit from this system as well – we support events all year long and STEM Camps for high school students from around the nation. We hope to be able to evolve and host cyber capture the Flag (CTF) events. Some of our graduates who entered the USN/USMC Cyber pipeline have reported validating some of the coursework at Fort Gordon which reflects the quality of our program and use of HTB.
