FURNITURE INSTALLATION

STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)

1.0 BACKGROUND

Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), Integrated Engagement Systems Department (E), Test and Evaluation Division (E40), PRTR Range Operations Branch (E44) requires the removal of some furniture pieces that will then be stored for future use, and the procurement, assembly, and installation of cubicle furniture in Building 1411, Room 12.

2.0 APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS

2.1 Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Specifications;

2.2 Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Regulations;

2.3 American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Business + Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association (BIFMA) Regulations; and

2.4 Center for Disease Control (CDC) Guidelines.

3.0 REQUIREMENTS

3.1 The Contractor shall breakdown and remove the six (6) existing cubicles in Building 1411, Room 12.

3.2 The Contractor shall store the removed furniture in a central location at/near NSWCDD for future use as needed by E40.

3.3 The Contractor shall provide the following materials to complete installation of the new control room furniture, manufactured by Trendway Corporation:

3.4 The Contractor shall receive the material listed above and shall schedule an installation date that will provide E44 eleven (11) cubicles:

3.4.1 Each cubicle shall be a minimum of 5’6” x 7’ x 84/66”H in size to provide a work area for 1 person.

3.4.2 The new furniture color(s) shall match the color(s) of the existing furniture that is being reutilized. Color selection of requested products above are as follow:

Panels: Side 1 - Wedgewood 150 / Side 2 - Silver Papier BV2, Trim: Gray Surfaces: Pewter Brush/ Gray Grommet, Gray Edge Pedestals: Gray

3.4.3 Each station will consist of the following:

One (1) 36”w open shelf with task light and cord cover One (1) 48”w flipper door cabinet with locking door that recedes into cabinet and task light with cord cover Overheads will be installed so that the tops of the cabinets are at the top of the 84”h panels to allow for 39” of clearance from the top of the desk to the underside of the cabinet.

The panel raceways will be electrified with each station having five duplex outlets One (1) 24” x 54” work surface perpendicular to a 30” x 66” surface One (1) combo pedestal with two (2) 6” drawers, one (1) 12” drawer, one (1) 30” lateral file drawer and one (1) pencil tray

3.5 The Contractor shall provide ceiling feed placement schematic with location dimensions prior to furniture install.

3.6 The Contractor personnel shall install the furniture in accordance with OEM and ANSI BIFMA regulations and wear personal protective equipment IAW OSHA regulations and CDC guidelines throughout the project.

3.7 The Contractor shall protect Government property from damage or disfigurement.

3.8 The Contractor shall keep all supplies, equipment, and tools out of traffic lanes or other areas where they might create a hazard.

3.9 At the end of each work period, the Contractor shall secure all supplies, equipment, and tools.

3.10 The Contractor shall wipe down the new control room furniture and vacuum the installation area once the work is complete.

3.11 The Contractor shall perform all work during normal working hours, Monday through Friday, 0800 – 1700.

3.12 The Contractor shall coordinate with the technical point of contact (TPOC) identified below to schedule all required work.

4.0 GOVERNMENT-FURNISHED PROPERTY/MATERIAL/INFORMATION

(GFP/GFM/GFI)

4.1 The government will provide access to the base and building for work completion.

5.0 TRAVEL

The Contractor will be required to travel in performance of this contract. The number of trips and types of personnel traveling shall be limited to the minimum required to accomplish work requirements and shall be coordinated with the technical point of contact. All travel shall be conducted in accordance with the Federal Travel Regulations (FTR). The following travel is anticipated: four (4) personnel for three (3) days to Dahlgren, VA.

6.0 SECURITY

All work to be performed under this contract is unclassified.
