Statement of Work (SOW) BIE - Chemawa Indian School

Residential Sliding Doors

GENERAL INFORMATION

1.0 BACKGROUND:

Chemawa Indian School, 3700 Chemawa Road NE, Salem, OR 97305. This project will consist of removing existing doors and installing four (4) surface mount sliding doors in the front entry of the residential building.

2.0 PROJECT LOCATION:

Chemawa Indian School in Salem, OR. To schedule a site visit contact the facility manager, Shane Parlette. Information listed in deliverables section.

3.0 Definitions:

Definitions, as used in the Statement of Work are as follows:

“BIA” means Bureau of Indian Affairs “BIE” means Bureau of Indian Education “CO” means Contracting Officer “COR” means Contracting Officer’s Representative “Contractor” means the Construction Contractor

4.0 SCOPE OF WORK

The Bureau of Indian Education (BIE), Chemawa Indian School is requesting the removal of existing doors and the installation of four (4) sliding doors in the entry of the residential building.

The exterior sliding doors must consist of one (1) inch OA tempered glass so they will match the existing doors that were in place. Exterior doors need to be equipped with auto locks. The interior sliding doors must consist of quarter (1/4) inch tempered glass to match existing doors.

All sliding doors need to be equipped with battery backups in case of power failure. Doors must run off 120v power connection.

5.0 CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS

a. TASK 1 – Sliding Doors:

Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supervision, and incidentals necessary to provide the installation of sliding doors in the front entry of the residential building.

b. MEETINGS:

Pre-Construction meeting will be held within the first 10 days of receipt of award, to discuss Contract Administration and task delivery. During the construction phase, weekly progress meetings will be held. The contractor shall prepare weekly progress reports and oversee taking the minutes and distributing to all parties.

6.0 CODES AND STANDARDS

The contractor be knowledgeable of and meet the compliance with the most current editions of the following regulations, codes, standards, and guidelines.

a. OSHA – Federal Regulations

b. BIA School Facilities Design Handbook

7.0 DELIVERABLES

a. For the project scope the following is required:

1. Project Schedule utilizing Gantt Charting

2. Submit all deliverables as indicated above to the CO by email.

8.0 PERFORMANCE TIME

Government review time is not included in the performance time indicated below.

a. Installation of sliding doors: 14 calendar days for the removal and installation of sliding doors.

Total days required 14 days from date of the Notice to Proceed
