Work Days/Hours for Deliveries: Monday-Friday 7am-5pm; Closed on Federal Holidays
Sixty-five (65) 2-3" and 3-4" caliper trees and 120 three to five-gallon shrubs will be planted to provide screening of nearby residential and commercial properties and improve the site lines throughout the landscape of the farm. Tree staking will be installed to ensure proper growth and protect trees from damage. Temporary irrigation bags will be installed to provide plants with proper watering. Native Missouri tree/shrub species will be used, including: Pawpaw, Buckeye, Red maple, Red cedar, Catalpa, Blackhaw vibumum, Hackberry, Flowering dogwood, Kentucky coffeetree, Black gum, Chokeberry, Witchhazel, Yellow/red stemmed dogwood. The planting will be undertaken by HSTR staff and Student Conservation Association team, beginning in late October 2024. Vendor will provide tree, shrubs and other supplies specified as well as delivery of all supplies to specific areas on site in late October/early November 2024. Trees and shrubs will be evenly divided into 3 groups of mixed trees and shrubs that will mimic natural growth of native plants: 1/3 delivered along the north side of the property and 2/3 (in two groups) delivered to the south side of the property.
