The Contractor shall provide Professional Development Services which will center on effective instructional practices of academic programs through full implementation of the AVID model;
academics data analysis; Response to Intervention (RTI) and creation of grade-level formative assessments. Consultant should be highly experienced with the implementation of the AVID advisory and AVID walkthrough program. Consultant should be certified in math and/or science.
Statement of Work:
The consultant (one) shall work with TOHS teachers to provide onsite training, including both instructional coaching and instructional modeling, assisting the teachers in successfully completing the proscribed tasks outlined in the contract.
The Contractor Consultant shall provide:
• 4 days of consultant service in July to prepare for beginning of the year staff training
• 1 day per week (Monday-Thursday) to model math and science lessons for teachers.
• Update and access teachers lesson plan and 4 square each time when walking into class.
Teachers who do not have a lesson plan or 4 squares for the class will be alerted via email with a cc to the principal.
• 4 Full day consultant service for professional development services for teachers only.
• Provide on-site training to all teachers on lesson planning.
• Provide onsite training to all teachers to increase student engagement in the classroom.
• Provide onsite training for all teachers on implementation of AVID strategies.
• Provide training for all teachers on creating school wide academic/instructional process and procedures.
• Provide trainings on topics as needed based on data gathered from teacher observations and student academic achievement data.
• Provide training on implementing Power Standards in Math and ELA across the curriculum.
Dates of Work for the Contract:
Base Year and all options include the total hours and number of days.
One (1) day is considered 8 hours per day
