SAN SIMON SCHOOL
2024 – 2025 Scope of Work
Anticipated Outcomes
● Teachers will develop an understanding of how to use the BIE/Teacher leader created Curriculum Pacing Guides. These guides will be written to follow the standards in order as they are assessed on the Pearson BIE Interims.
● Teachers will be able to use the primary resources ReadyGEN, MyPerspectives and EnVision to teach the standards on the BIE Curriculum Pacing Guides.
● Teachers will be able to teach the Phonemic Awareness and Phonics program, Heggerty, with consistency and fidelity. This pertains to Grades Kindergarten through 4th grade.
● Teachers will be able to understand and analyze DIBELS reading assessment data as it pertains to their individual students. Then develop flexible reading intervention groups to decrease the number of at risk reading students at San Simon School.
● Teachers will develop and implement a school wide behavior plan following the three Bs behavior policy. They will then create and implement classroom behavior plans that support the school wide 3 Bs initiative.
● Teachers will write and provide administration standards based concise lesson plans that follow the BIE Curriculum Pacing Guides.
How Work Will Be Performed
● Consultants will work with teachers to help them develop an understanding of how to use the BIE/Teacher leader created Curriculum Pacing Guides. These guides will be written to follow the standards in order as they are assessed on the Pearson BIE Interims.
The meetings will be in the forms of whole staff development, grade level team meetings and individual meetings.
● Consultants will attend and support all Savvas training and then work to ensure that all staff members are capable and comfortable with the resources. We will guide the teachers in utilizing these primary resources to follow the BIE Curriculum Pacing Guides.
● Consultants will teach and support all teachers Kindergarten - 4th grade how to effectively deliver Heggerty lessons.
● The consultants will attend all DIBELS training sessions and lead a DIBELS Assessment team, including progress monitoring, at San Simon School. The program has been purchased for all students Kindergarten through 5th grade. The consultants will then work with teachers to understand and analyze DIBELS reading assessment data as it pertains to their individual students. Then develop flexible reading intervention groups to decrease the number of at risk reading students at San Simon School.
● Consultants will support teachers as they develop and implement a school wide behavior plan following the three Bs behavior policy. Consultants will support teachers in creating and implementing classroom behavior plans that support the school wide 3 Bs initiative.
● Consultants will teach and model how to write lesson plans that are standards based and concise that follow the BIE Curriculum Pacing Guides. This work will be done through whole staff training, team meetings and individual meetings as needed.
Evaluation Metrics
● Data: BIE Interim Assessment Data
● Data: DIBELS Benchmark and progress monitoring data
● Classroom Observation Checklists: Consultants will visit classrooms to monitor usage of the BIE Curriculum Pacing Guide, fidelity in teaching the Heggerty program, observe reading intervention groups and look for usage of the 3 Bs behavior initiative.
● Teacher Surveys: Consultants will create and then collect surveys after whole staff training to ensure that all teachers are clear on the new learning and expectations.
