REFRIGERATED WATER SAMPLERS

SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS:

Refrigerated Water Sampler:

1. Shall be a refrigerated type automated water sampler intended for use in outdoor, corrosive environments.

2. Shall be made of corrosion resistant materials and include UV resistant features.

3. Shall be powered from a 120 VAC, 60 Hz external power source.

4. Shall be SDI-12 compatible.

5. Shall be able to keep samples preserved at the EPA-recommended temperature of 39°F (4°C).

6. Shall include a built-in heater to prevent samples from freezing.

7. Shall be compatible with polypropylene 1-liter bottles and capable of holding 24 bottles for sample collection.

8. Shall weigh no more than 165 lbs. when dry without battery.

Pump:

9. Shall support intake suction tubing from 3 to at least 90 ft long made of vinyl with inside dimension no larger than 3/8 inch (1 cm).

10. Shall automatically compensate for changes in head heights.

11. Battery shall be included.

12. Shall have a lifting capacity of at least 25 feet (7.6 m).

13. Shall have pump tubing life of at least 1,000,000 pump counts.

14. Shall have repeatability of at least ±5 ml or ±5% of the average volume in a set.

15. Shall have a tubing life indicator feature alerting when it’s time to change the tubing.

16. Shall have a sample delivery velocity of at least 2 ft./sec. at heads up to 25 ft.

Controller:

17. Shall have non-volatile ROM memory.

18. Shall have operational temperature range from 32° to at least 120°F (0° to 49°C).

19. Shall allow for programmable composite samples from 1 to at least 999 samples.

20. Shall have NEMA 4X, 6 (IP67) enclosure rating at a minimum.

21. Shall have clock accuracy of at least 1 minute per month, for real time clock.

Operations:

22. Shall sample programmable sample volumes from 10 to at least 9,990 ml in 1 ml increments.

23. Shall have sampling modes in uniform time, non-uniform time, flow, and event.

24. Shall have sample frequency of 1 minute to at least 99 hours and 59 minutes, in at least 1-minute increments non-uniform times in minutes or clock times 1 to at least 9,999 flow pulses.

25. Shall allow for automatic rinsing of suction line up to at least three (3) rinses for each sample collection.

26. Shall allow for sample retries, if sample is not detected and shall be user selectable.

27. Shall allow for sampling stop/resume with up to at least twenty-four (24) real time/date sample stop/resume commands.

28. Shall have program storage for at least five (5) sampling programs.

29. Shall be capable of running diagnostics test for RAM, ROM, pump, display, and the distributor.

Sampling Bottles Configuration:

30. Shall be compatible with the sampler specs listed above.

31. Shall include bottle rack, retaining ring, caps, and minimum of two (2) discharge tubes.

32. Shall come in quantity of at least 24 polypropylene bottles.

33. Shall be capable of holding a minimum of 1 liter per bottle.
