Salient Characteristics S23084

REFRIGERATED WATER SAMPLER

SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS:

2 EA, Refrigerated Water Sampler:

1. Shall consist of a portable, refrigerated, automated water sampler with data logging and remote communications for water monitoring and sampling applications.

2. Shall be capable of supporting multiple different bottle configurations, including but not limited to, 14

ea. 950-liter poly bottles.

3. Shall be capable of being powered from 120/240 VAC or 12VDC (nominal) power sources.

4. Shall include an SDI-12 interface.

5. Shall include an input for a rain gage.

6. Shall include a CFC-free refrigeration system capable of maintaining sample temperature at 3°C +/1°C.

(37.4°F ±1.8°F) at ambient temperature ranging from at least of 0 to 40o C (32° to 104°F).

7. Shall be capable of delivering up to at least 48 hours of refrigeration from a 12 VDC deep cycle battery.

8. Shall be capable of operating over a range of temperatures from at least 0° to 49°C (32° to 120°F).

9. Shall include distributor arm, pump tubes, 12 VDC power cable with heavy-duty battery clips, 12 VDC power cable with cigarette lighter plug, and any other applicable accessories.

Pump:

10. Shall have an adjustable air purge before and after each sample.

11. Shall support intake suction tubing from 3 to at least 99 ft long made of vinyl or Teflon with inside dimension no larger than 3/8 inch (1 cm).

12. Shall automatically compensate for changes in head heights.

13. Shall have a lifting capacity of at least 28 feet (8.5 m).

14. Shall have pump tubing life of at least 1,000,000 pump counts.

15. Shall have repeatability of ±5 ml or ±5% of the average volume in a set, or better.

16. Shall have a tubing life indicator feature alerting when it’s time to change the tubing.

17. Shall have a sample delivery velocity of at least 2 ft./sec. at heads up to at least 25 ft.

18. Shall have a sample presence detection feature to compensate for changes in head height.

Controller:

19. Shall include a backlit real-time display/control panel with keypad for programming and system setup.

20. Shall have non-volatile ROM memory and 512 kB for data logging.

21. Shall allow for programmable composite samples from 1 to at least 999 samples.

22. Shall have NEMA 4X enclosure with an Ingress Protection rating of at least IP67 (watertight and dust proof).

23. Shall have clock accuracy of at least 1 minute per month, for real time clock.

Operations:

24. Shall have programmable sample volumes from 10 to at least 9,990 ml in 1 ml increments.

25. Shall have sampling modes in uniform time, non-uniform time, flow, and event.

26. Shall have sample frequency of 1 minute to at least 99 hours and 59 minutes, in 1-minute increments.

27. Shall allow for automatic rinsing of suction line up to at least three (3) rinses for each sample collection.

28. Shall allow for up to at least 3 sample retries, if sample is not detected. This shall be a user selectable feature.

Salient Characteristics S23084

29. Shall have program storage for at least five (5) sampling programs.

30. Shall be capable of running diagnostics test for RAM, ROM, pump, display, and the distributor.

2 EA, Suction Line:

31. Shall be compatible with the sampler specs listed above.

32. Shall be vinyl, 3/8-inch internal diameter tubing that is at least 25 ft. long.

33. Shall include weighted polypropylene strainer.

34. Shall include tubing coupler.

2 EA, Analog Interface:

35. Shall be compatible with the sampler specs listed above.

36. Shall consist of a 4-20 mA analog interface module that can be attached to the sampler and allow use with devices with 4-20 mA output signals.

37. Shall include an interface cable.

2 EA, Liquid Level Actuator

38. Shall be compatible with the sampler specs listed above.

39. Shall consist of a device that triggers a sampling routine when the liquid reaches a predetermined height.

40. Shall include applicable sensor/probe and a control box that attaches to the sampler.

41. Shall include a 22 ft. interface cable.

42. Shall include clamp and fastening devices.

1 EA, Sampler Software:

43. Shall consist of compatible Software for Refrigerated Samplers and Sampling Projects with tools and features to support on-site setup, system configuration, data logging, and data management functions.

44. Shall be Windows based and include the following functionality:

a. data retrieval, printing, and graphing,

b. graphical and tabular reporting,

c. data analysis and editing,

d. ability to create user-customizable graphs and tables,

e. exporting data in HTML, PDF, or ASCII formats,

f. and data archiving.

45. Shall support communication via USB, Ethernet, or cellular modem.

46. Shall include at least 2 user licenses.

2 EA, Mobility Kit:

47. Shall be compatible with the sampler specs listed above.

48. Shall include frame with lifting handles for transporting sampler.

49. Shall include pneumatic tires and pull handles.
