About this file

This document outlines the salient characteristics for a particle size analyzer system and accessories solicited under solicitation number 140G0124Q0040 by the Department of the Interior US Geological Survey Office of Acquisitions and Grants. The system shall include a laser diffraction particle size analyzer with the ability to detect multiple wavelengths of horizontally and vertically radiated light across a range of 10nm to 3,500um. Accompanying modules are required to handle both dry powder and liquid samples, with the liquid module providing auto-dilution, filling, and rinsing capabilities. Additional requirements include a sonicator kit for dispersion of wet samples, HEPA vacuum for dry sample delivery, and a workstation with the specified software pre-installed. Support and training services such as preventative maintenance, system health checks, software upgrades and basic operator training must also be provided.
