STATEMENT OF WORK

Laboratory Building Ductless Mini Splits

1. General:

1.1 The CA-NV Fish Health Center, 24411 Coleman Hatchery Road, Anderson, CA 96007 needs to install in our laboratory one (1) New FUJITSU 45,000 BTU heat pump outdoor unit with two (2) 18,000 BTU and one (1) 12,000 BTU indoor ceiling cassettes. Includes: line sets, line set convers, condensate drains, clad lite pad for outdoor unit, three (3) wall mounted touch screen thermostats, electrical and, all systems will be powered, tested, ran, and confirmed functional by installer and Fish Health Center staff member.

1.2 Currently, the largest and main portion of the laboratory building uses one HVAC unit for heating and cooling. The unit that supplies this portion of the lab performs poorly in the summer and has required numerous service calls for repair. In 2021, several ductless units were installed by Mike’s Heating & Air, Inc. in two rooms of the laboratory and perform extremely well. We propose to replace the function of the old, outdated, and inefficient HVAC with a ductless systems. This would complete the transition from the old HVAC system to the new and more efficient FUJITSU systems. The old HVAC system would remain in place as a backup.

1.3 Contractor Qualifications: Contractors must hold a Contractor’s License and be HERS Certified (Home Energy Rating Standards).

2.3 Normal duty hours Monday thru Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. In the event of emergencies, Contractor shall provide contact information.

2.4 No need to list nonduty hours as this job should only take a couple of normal duty days to complete.

3. Scope
