PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE

Pre-Solicitation Notice: The National Park Service (NPS), MWR NEKOTA Major Acquisition Buying Office (MABO) intends to issue a solicitation for construction services. The acquisition will be conducted using Request for Quote (RFQ) process. The NPS intends to award a firm-fixed price, construction contract in response to this RFQ.

Project Description: Work consists of: Delegated design and installation of a new fire suppression piping through the interior areas of the housing unit and make the connections to the existing water supply inside the house near the existing water heater. The system design shall be completed by a certified fire design engineer and submitted to the NPS Mid-West Region Structural Fire Program Manager for final approval. The new fire suppression will not require glycol-based equipment. All exposed fire suppression piping and heads in interior areas will be covered in cove molding (Decro-Shield System or equal). Fire suppression system must meet ICC International Fire Code, 2021 Edition NFPA-13R Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems in Low-Rise Residential Occupancies, 2022 Edition (NFPA 13R) and provide proper coverage to interior areas.

Period of Performance: Work shall be completed within approximately 105 calendar days of contract award (POP is inclusive of 0 weather days), 7 days for final completion.

Magnitude: Between $25,000 and $100,000

Procurement set aside: is unrestricted to allow both small and large business compete for this requirement.

NAICS CODE: 238220 plumbing, heating, and air conditioning contractors. Size Standard $16.5 Million

The government intends to issue a formal Solicitation with construction specifications on or about November 23 ,2022. If this date is delayed, the solicitation will follow as soon as possible. This is the preliminary notice of a solicitation that will follow. The responses will be due approximately 17 days after the RFQ issue date and it is anticipated close on December 09, 2022. The specific date and time will be announced in the solicitation that will follow this notice.

The RFQ package, including applicable specifications and drawings, will be posted to Sam.gov. Offerors must have a UEI number and be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) http://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for award. RFQ documents can be emailed to Contract Specialist Joseph Kirk, Joseph_kirk@nps.gov.

Site visit will be scheduled, and the details announced with the release of the RFQ.
