PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE:

The National Park Service Contracting Operations (ConOps) Central, Nekota Major Acquisition Buying Office, is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) is to upgrade 23 RV electrical boxes at Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. The acquisition will be conducted using RFQ process.

SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P6324Q0033

Project Description: This project upgrades the electrical distribution feeding the 23 camp sites in the South Rim Campground as well as adds lighting and an infrared heater in the two campground restrooms.

PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $25,000 and $100,000.

Period of Performance: The performance period is anticipated to be 120 calendar days, after issuance of Notice to Proceed.

TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor in Summer 2024. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Montrose County, CO will apply.

North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: 238210 HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) contractors. The small business size standard is $19 million.

This project is set aside 100 % for Small Business Set Aside Total.

SITE VISIT: Will be noted in Solicitation package when posted to SAM.GOV.

The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation.

REGISTRATIONS: In order to be awarded a contract, an offeror must have an UEI number. Also, the offeror must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM), website at http://www.sam.gov, and have completed their Online Representations and Certifications at the time of the solicitation close date once the solicitation is posted.

The government intends to issue a formal Solicitation with construction specifications on or about June 28, 2024. If this date is delayed, the solicitation will follow as soon as possible. This is the preliminary notice of a solicitation that will follow. The responses will be due approximately 28 days after the RFQ issue date and it is anticipated close on July 26, 2024. The specific date and time will be announced in the solicitation that will follow this notice.
