PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE:
The National Park Service, Interior Regions 3/4/5, Nekota Major Acquisition Buying Office, is issuing an Invitation for Bid to remodel Collection Storage area within the visitor center at Pipestone National Monument, Pipestone Minnesota. The acquisition will be conducted using Invitation for Bids (IFB)/Sealed Bid process.
SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P6324B0006
Project Description: Work consists of selective demolition of existing office, bally building and finishes to make way for new office and collection storage. The collection storage will have a chemical agent fire suppression, its own HVAC and be separated with a non-code required rated wall. Replacement of windows with new framing with insulated metal panels will provide both security as well as thermal barrier to the new enclosed space. This project is within the exiting Visitor Center. The facility will continue operations throughout the construction period and maintaining envelope security and weather tightness is of upmost importance. New floorings, interior finishes, lighting, alarm systems are all included in the area of remodel.
PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $250,000 and $500,000
Period of Performance: 333 calendar days, after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor in February 2024. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Pipestone, MN will apply.
The associated NAICS code is 236220 (Addition, alteration and renovation, commercial and institutional buildings).
Set-Aside: No set-aside (100% unrestricted) large and small businesses can provide a bid package.
SITE VISIT: Will be noted in Solicitation package when posted to SAM.GOV.
The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation.
REGISTRATIONS: To be awarded a contract, an offeror must have an UEI number. Also, the offeror must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM), website at http://www.sam.gov, and have completed their Online Representations and Certifications at the time of the solicitation close date once the solicitation is posted.
This pre-solicitation will be posted to SAM.GOV for 15 days. Following the pre-solicitation, the government intends to issue a formal solicitation with construction specifications on or about January 3, 2024. If this date is delayed, the solicitation will follow as soon as possible. This is the preliminary notice of a solicitation that will follow. The responses will be due approximately 30 days after the IFB issue date and it is anticipated to close on February 3, 2024. The specific date and time will be announced in the solicitation that will follow this notice.
