STATEMENT OF NEED

Detailed description of SOCS-PT contract for performance designs main canopies, optima reserves, cepress automatic opening devices, sunpath javelin containers and sigma tandem parachute system

ITEM ONE: 12 EACH Changeable Mode Expert Cypress II automatic activation devices.

Commercial off the shelf product with no additional modifications necessary.

ITEM TWO: Ten each, Performance Designs (PD) CRW Modified Storm Main Canopy Canopies.

Five in size 230, five in size 210. Cells two through six should be black with gold letters that say SOCOM on bottom skin. Cells one and seven gold color. Letters “Para-Commandos” on skirt on each side in black letters. Center “A” line should be RED, all others standard. With exception of center “A” line, all A and B lines should be cascaded. Each should come with retractable CRW bridle. Each should come with a split slider. There should not be a PD Loge white panel on the skirts. A standard military flag bag must be attached. Except as detailed above, canopies should be identical to STORM 230 Serial Number TK-2300-03613.

ITEM THREE: Two each UPT SIGMA Tandem Parachute System Complete with student harness.

SIGMA Harness container with center flap gold piping, number two flap embroidery SOCOM Emblem, sidewall embroidery SOCOM spear emblem, Ring cover name SOCOM, ring cover name Para-Commandos and hook knife must be same as serial number 56312. SR-370 Reserve parachute. Canopy SG-370 main canopy gold with SOCOM emblem and markings same as serial number 007798. Cypress II changeable mode Tandem automatic activation device. Fully assembled and rigging services complete upon arrival. Two additional student harnesses total of four (two come with the container system as part of the package).

ITEM FOUR: Ten each Performance Designs Optimum Reserves. Ten in size 235. Commercial off the shelf with no modifications.

ITEM FIVE: Four each Sunpath Javelin J-7K Parachute Containers. All Black. Gold SOCOM embroidery on right mud flap. Gold “Para-Commandos” embroidery on mud flaps. Gold pin striping on back. Black reserve pilot chute with gold pin stripe. SOCOM emblem with spear on both sides. See thru reserve flap. Chem light holder along top of reserve flap and on left mud flap. RW handles on leg straps. Flag ring on left riser. Equipment rings on both mud flaps capable of supporting 100lbs of gear at terminal velocity. Spandex BOC pilot chute pouch. Black PUD handle on gold pilot chute. Four point articulated harness. RSL with gold pull tab. Gold FatDaddy Cutaway and Reserve handles. Identical to serial number 50658.
