About this file

This document provides packaging requirements and instructions for an Air Force sustainment center solicitation for F-16 installation kits. The solicitation seeks wood packaging and containers constructed from debarked wood that has undergone heat treatment to prevent the spread of invasive species. Packaging must meet Military Standard 129 for marking and ASTM Specification D3951 for commercial packaging. Individual shipments over 150 pounds, 108 inches in length, or 130 inches in girth plus length must be packaged on skids or pallets for forklift handling. Exterior containers should be marked to indicate the packaging is not for outside storage. The document identifies the required packaging level, preservation method, and provides supplier packaging instructions to meet these requirements for solicitation number FA8212-23-Q-0005.
