SALIENT CHARACTERISTIC
Item: Inverted Microscope w/Fluorescence, camera and imaging software

Performance Features:
1. Inverted Microscope with fluorescence, brightfield, camera and imaging software with workstation.
2. The inverted microscopy system with diverse imaging and acquisition and analysis methods should include multidimensional time-lapse imaging to acquire temporal, spatial and spectra information of fast, dynamic live cell processes.
3. The Microscope should have a motorized stand and motorized components. Objective lenses should include a 10x, 20x, 40x and 60x fluorescent and apochromatic Lens.
4. Filter sets for fluorescent viewing of DAPI, FITC/Cy2, and Texas Red.
5. Cameras need to be able collect monochromatic and color images.
6. Microscope needs to have a workstation with software for acquisition and analysis of images. Workstation needs sufficient processing and RAM to easily run advanced software acquisition and analysis of images.
7. As a minimum the system should have:
a. a 4 Core, 3.6 GHz processor (4 cores)
b. 32GB DDR4 2666 Mhz RAM
c. P4000 8GB GDDR5X GPU
d. 512GBTurbo M.2 OS drive.
e. Minimum storage must be at least 2 TB storage
f. Must have keyboard and optical mouse.
g. Must have Windows 10 64-bit Professional operating system.
h. Acquisition software must include capture capabilities of time laps, z-stack, multi stage-position, multichannel fluorescence, AVI acquisition and intensity correction.
i. Software for displaying and processing images must include annotation, 3D imaging, volume rendering & movie making, and montage viewing.
j. Software must be expandable to meet needs of future research including TIRF, FRET and photobleaching/photoactivation to study the dynamics and interactions of fluorescent protein molecules in living cells and tissues.
