About this file

This document contains an attachment and related federal contract opportunity solicitation. The attachment provides brand name only requirements for flow cytometry lab reagents to be used on a BD FACS Lyric flow cytometer at a Veterans Affairs VISN22 facility. Acceptable reagents must be compatible with existing, validated data analysis templates in FCS Express. The solicitation seeks these cytometry lab reagents on an as-needed basis to prevent invalidation of lab-developed tests requiring re-validation, which would halt cytometry testing operations. The related federal contract opportunity is solicitation number 36C26222Q1724 for cytometry lab reagents from the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 22.

Brand Name or Equal Description/Requirements:

The Brand Name for the below Flow Cytometry Lab reagents is Becton, Dickinson (dba BD Biosciences).

Product Description Product # Unit of Issue

Quantity

Multiple Flow reagents Various EA As needed

Salient characteristics –

1. Must be compatible for use on following equipment in use:

• BD FACS Lyric

2. Must be exact reagent as ordered and no substitute to prevent invalidation of the associated lab-developed test. Lab-developed tests are required to undergo rigorous validation studies. Any changes or substitutions at this point would invalidate the test, resulting in a cease of flow cytometry testing operations for VISN22. Re-validating the test with other reagents/antibodies would be an unproductive expenditure of funds and time.

3. Must produce staining signals that will be compatible with our existing and validated data analysis templates in FCS Express.
