2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
1. The exterior dimensions, in inches, must fall in the following range:
· (W) 28” - 31.5”
· (D) 33” - 35”
· (H) 77” - 78.5”.
2. The storage capacity must be 18 – 24 cubic feet
3. The temperature range must be -50 to -90 Celsius.
· The temperature must be adjustable in increments of 1°.
4. The freezer must be compatible with existing electrical outlets that are: 220V, 60Hz, 10-15amps.
5. The freezer must have the following plug type NEMA 5-15P.
6. The freezer must have and LCD touch screen display for user interface.
7. The freezer must be capable of recording performance history (i.e., min/max temperatures).
8. The freezer must have an alarm system that used audible and visual alerts to notify users of, temperature fluctuations, door ajar and power interruptions.
· The freezer must allow users to program when the alarm is triggered for temperature fluctuations.
9. The freezer door must open from the front of the unit.
10. The freezer door must have a self-closing feature to prevent users from unintentional leaving the door open.
11. The freezer door must have an integral lock.
12. The freezer door must have an attachment or feature that allows users to attach an external lock (i.e., pad lock).
13. The freezer must have internal door(s) that creates a vacuum seal for the shelves when closed.
· These doors are in addition to the freezers main door and shall not be a supplement for an external freezer door.
· The inner doors(s) must have a latch that automatically catches when they are closed.
14. The freezer must have a minimum of 3 adjustable shelves.
15. The freezer must be capable of providing vacuum relief to release vacuum seals when opening both external and internal doors.
16. The freezer should have casters wheels that allow the freezer to be moved.
17. The freezer must have a feature that minimizes frost build up.
18. The freezer must be constructed of medical grade materials.
19. The freezer must be Energy Star certified
20. The refrigerant used in the freezer must by EPA compliant.
21. Must include at minimum a 1-year manufacturer warranty
