Automatic livestock feeding system that controls and records intake (CRFI) that are compatible with the BioControl system already installed, with purpose to add additional feed stations.

Request is for 6 pairs of feed units plus delivery, installation, and cement pad install.

Purpose: the system functions by giving individual cows access to specified mangers that are placed on weighing cells. Cows are identified on the system by means of neck transponders or ear tags, and the purpose of the system is to record their feed intake. Each pair of feed box units is controlled by a station controller that allows manual control at the feed unit.

The system consists of feed stations that come as pairs with a feed box suspended by electronic load cells that can pivot to empty contents, a pneumatic closing gate which controls the cow’s access to the feed in the feed box, an ID-transponder reader, optical sensor, an electronic control unit which controls two gates, and lids for the feed boxes. There are stall dividers that prevent other cows from accessing the feed behind another cow.

The system must have a gate that controls when and which cows are allowed to eat, with a closed default position of any gate. When a cow approaches the gate, the cow’s ID-number will be registered by the reader. The ID-number is transmitted to the Central processor. This will answer by sending data to the gate telling if the cow is allowed or not. If the cow has access, the gate will open and the weight in the manger will be registered then recorded. When the cow is eating, the reducing weight in the manger will be registered simultaneously. When the cow eats the max accessible amount, the gate closes.

System required features:

Input voltage 220 V AC

Compressor supplies air for pneumatic control, pressure of 6 bars

Mangers can be automatically or manually unlocked and inverted for cleaning.

12- key station controller

Weight of feed in feed box sampled approximately once per second

Maximum load of feed 400 kg

Resolution of consumption is 4 grams

Transponder reader can read full or half duplex ISO transponders and DeLaval B-transponders

Required dimensions:

Height from floor to bottom of stall divider: 506 mm

Height form floor to top of stall divider: 1394 mm

Normal tilt height: high position 758 mm, 47 degree maximum tilt forward

Width of feed through slot: 270 mm length of feed through slot: 600 mm from top.

Width of feed gate 350 mm

Width of manger or feedbox is 1198 mm or 120 cm

Depth of feed box is 1 meter, with a volume of approximately 620 liters when filled to the bottom of the feed through slot.
