Statement of Work

1. PURPOSE:

The overall purpose of this requirement is to procure a replacement Ultrasonic for Sterile Processing Service.

2. SCOPE:

2.1. The contractor shall deliver the system to the Martinsburg VA Medical Center.

2.2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS: Please note, all items listed below must be technically equivalent to or exceed the Getinge Model 2460 Ultrasonic. Emphasis is on size and utilities.

2.2.1. One (1) Model 2460 Ultrasonic (KS2460UCOOOA)

2.2.1.1. Manufacturer: Getinge

2.2.1.2. Model: 2460

2.2.1.2.1. Device must be constructed of stainless steel.

2.2.1.2.2. Device must be able to be cleaned and disinfected with hospital grade disinfectants.

2.2.1.2.3. Devices must have foot pedal operation for opening and closing

2.2.1.2.4. Devices must have integrated detergent dosing system

2.2.1.2.5. Devices must have programmable detergent dosing system

2.2.1.2.6. Device must work with current utilities i.e. electric, plumbing, drains, air.

2.2.1.2.7. Devices must raise and lower instrument trays

2.2.1.2.8. Devices must meet the 33 1/2 “ L x 27 ½” W x 41”H

2.2.1.2.9. Devices must be 220 1-ph 50-60hz, 6.2 full load amps

2.2.1.2.10. Devices must have an overflow protection to prevent the basin from continuously filling.

2.2.1.2.11. Devices must include manual and motorized position locking capabilities.

2.2.1.2.12. Devices must be able to support instrument trays of at least 35 pounds.

2.2.1.2.13. Devices must be compatible with current consumables

2.2.2. Accessories

2.3. IMPLEMENTATION AND INSTALLATION

2.3.1. Installation and validation shall be included in the procurement cost and shall include but not limited to:

2.3.1.1. Assembly of devices and validation.

2.3.1.2. All materials required to assemble the ultrasonic shall be provided by the contractor.

2.3.2. The contractor will deliver the following quantities of ultrasonic and accessories to the addresses below:

2.3.2.1. Martinsburg VA Medical Center, 510 Butler Ave. Martinsburg WV 25405

2.4. TRAINING

2.4.1. The contractor shall provide onsite training for all MWV VAMC staff that requires training.

2.5. DELIVERY

2.5.1. The contractor shall deliver necessary equipment to the Martinsburg facility as required in the quantities specified above.

2.5.2. The contractor must give MWV VAMC staff 3 weeks’ notice of shipment and delivery of the ultrasonic and accessories.

2.5.3. The contractor shall deliver equipment and all items required for installation only when the site is ready for installation to proceed.

2.5.4. The contractor shall coordinate all deliveries, installation, and parking arrangements with the COR.

2.5.5. Delivered materials will arrive in manufacturer’s original sealed containers with the associated purchase order number listed on the outside of the box.

2.5.6. The contractor shall conduct a joint inspection with the COR upon delivery of the equipment and shall provide the COR a list of missing or damaged items found upon inspection.

2.5.7. The contractor shall remove all related shipping debris and packing from the MWV VAMC facilities.

3. INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE

3.1. The contractor shall conduct a joint inspection with the COR upon delivery equipment.

3.2. The contractor shall provide the VA COR a list of missing and /or damaged items found upon inspection and have those items replaced at no cost to the Government.

3.3. The COR shall ensure all work is completed satisfactorily prior to acceptance. Disputes shall be resolved by the VA Contracting Officer.

4. DELIVERABLES

4.1. Operation and Maintenance Manuals

4.1.1. Deliver compilation of all manufacturers recommended maintenance schedules and operation materials packaged upon delivery. Manuals shall be made available in an electronic format.

4.1.2. The contractor shall deliver and install the system with all specified salient characteristics. Only new equipment will be accepted.

4.1.3. The contractor shall provide shipping, transport, installation, and all equipment necessary to meet the requirements and capabilities.

4.1.4. The assembly and validation of the system must be performed by a vendor service trained representative.

4.1.5. The contractor is responsible for identifying any missing parts or components not included in the order for the ultrasonic to be successfully installed and validated to their full potential.

5. OPERATOR TRAINING

5.1. Onsite education and training by a vendor service trained representative will be provided to MWV clinical staff, facilities and engineering staff, and the biomedical engineering staff. The scheduling of operator training shall be coordinated with the MWV clinical staff after delivery and installation.

6. PROTECTION OF PROPERTY

6.1. The contractor shall protect all items from damage. The contractor shall take precaution against damage to the building(s), grounds and furnishings. The contractor shall repair or replace any items related to building(s) or grounds damaged accidentally or on purpose due to actions by the Contractor.

7. SECURITY REQUIREMENTS

7.1. The contractor must have a photo ID available when performing work at the VA Medical Center and be willing to present it to VA staff.

7.2. The contractor is responsible for providing any personal protective equipment (PPE) that is deemed necessary to complete tasks stated in this requirement.

7.3. The contractor must follow the Martinsburg VA Medical Center current COVID-19 guidance for entry to any medical center or Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC).

8. WARRANTY

8.1. At a minimum the ultrasonic must include a 1-year warranty on all parts and labor at no cost to the Government. Additional years are highly recommended as added value to the government.

8.2. The warranty shall begin upon completion of validation testing.

8.3. Warranty shall include onsite repairs and over the phone support.

8.4. Contractor shall provide routine maintenance service program during warranty period.

8.5. All repairs shall be performed by a vendor or contractor which has been certified by the vendor to perform the repairs.

8.6. The warranty shall include all travel and shipping costs associated with any warranty repair.
