About this file

This Request for Technical Literature document outlines requirements for bids on a federal contract opportunity to furnish and install thirteen swing arm fall protection units in a production facility. Bidders must provide with their bid descriptive literature previously used to market the proposed swing arm fall protection units that addresses acceptance testing, equipment monitoring, no load testing including trolley and bridge travel, load testing including static load tests, and required technical data. If preprinted literature does not show all required features, bidders must attach a supplemental letter describing these features in detail. Failure to demonstrate the product meets specifications through the literature will result in bid rejection. The government will not consider bids as firm or for award if the literature includes conditional language.

Request for Technical Literature

A. The bidder shall provide, with its bid, descriptive literature that has previously been used to market the proposed Swing Arm Fall Protection. The literature will be used to technically evaluate the bid and shall describe how the machining center meets requirements of the specification; specifically, the paragraphs:

Ref. Paragraph Information Furnished

3.0 Acceptance Testing

3.1 Equipment Monitoring

3.2 No Load Testing

3.2.1 Trolley Travel

3.2.2 Bridge Travel

3.3 Load Test

3.3.1 Static Load Test

5.1 Technical Data

b. The features, which must be addressed in the descriptive literature, are necessary to consider the bid responsive.

If the bidder’s preprinted literature does not show all these features, the bidder must attach a letter of supplemental information to the literature describing in detail those required features.

c. The failure of descriptive literature to show that the product offered conforms to the requirements of this solicitation will require rejection of the bid.

Conditions’, or ‘prices are subject to change without notice’ shall not be considered for an award. The government has no assurance the products offered will conform to the specification; therefore, the bid is not considered a firm bid and will not be considered for an award.
