MINI-SPLIT REPLACEMENT

I. BACKGROUND

Western Oregon Service Unit (WOSU), also known as Chemawa Indian Health Center, is an Indian Health Service (IHS) inpatient health center with more than 5000 active patients. Heating ventilation and cooling in the WOSU server room is provided by a 1.5-ton Daikin mini-split unit with one indoor unit. Due to the addition of new servers there is a significant increase in heat output and cooling requirements. The 1.5-ton unit does not provide adequate cooling. Due to the odd shape of the room (shaped like the letter “L”), there is limited airflow from the indoor unit to the opposite side of the room.

II. PURPOSE

This is the Statement of Work (SOW) for a non-personal service contract to provide and install a new mini-split heat pump and two indoor units with condensate pumps.

III. LOCATION

WOSU is located in Salem Oregon, approximately 43 miles south of Portland, Oregon.

All services are to be provided on location. The physical address is below.

Western Oregon Service Unit

Chemawa Health Center 3750 Chemawa Rd. NE Salem, Oregon 97305

IV. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE

WOSU will need to power down servers in the server room during installation. Installation must be performed over a single working day between the hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm, and scheduled in advance with the Contracting Officer’s Representative to minimize disruption of services at Western Oregon Service Unit.
