Statement of Work

For

Replacement and upgrades to existing Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS)

19 May 2022

(Revision 20 Mar 2023)

1.0 Scope

The overall objective of this contract is to revitalize the existing Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) in server room 0028 to ensure power is maintained to mission critical servers in the event of a power failure due to the overall building in which the server room resides not having its own power backup/generator.

1.1 Background

The UPS in Room 028 is designed to maintain power to the server room in the event of an unexpected power loss. The UPS supports both the 028 server room and a strip of surface-mounted outlets in the 029 server room. The UPS was procured in 2016 using APC brand-name equipment purchased based on an approved brand-name justification. This requirement is for the revitalization of that equipment. The current batteries, which were manufactured in 2016, have a recommended 5-year lifespan and they are in need of replacement. Other components in the system, such as the static switches and the power modules, range in age, some having been manufactured as far back as 2007. All replaceable components of the UPS system should be replaced, and preventative maintenance performed.

2.0 Tasks/Requirements

To meet these objectives, the Contractor shall 1) replace current APC assets with new APC assets; 2) perform preventative maintenance on the UPS; and 3) provide one (1) additional year of preventative maintenance support to AFLCMC/WAG for the revitalized UPS.

2.1 The Contractor shall replace all replaceable components of the UPS with new APC parts/equipment, including but not limited to, the following:

• Batteries (SYBT4 – 48 Batteries)

• Power Modules

• Intelligence Modules

• Static Switch Modules

• Worn out Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) ((UPS) revitalization service for one (1) existing APC Symmetra PX 40kw Frame UPS including the replacement of four (4) X SYMP10KF power modules and 12 X SYBT4 (48) batteries. All replacement parts/components shall be APC brand.)

2.2 The Contractor shall perform preventative maintenance for the UPS.

2.3 The Contractor shall remove and dispose of all replaced parts/components.

2.4 After the initial revitalization effort is performed, and the included one (1) year of preventative maintenance expires, the Contractor shall perform one (1) additional year of preventative maintenance for all parts on the UPS. The preventative maintenance shall include all parts and labor.

2.5 Place of Performance: 2275 D Street, Bldg 16, Rm 028, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433

3.0 Applicable Documents: None

The objective of this contract is to upgrade the existing Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) in server room 0028 to prevent losing power to servers located in the room in the event of a power failure.
