Statement of Work (SOW)
Flue Replacement
Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK
Building 791
May 2021
GENERAL
1. SCOPE OF WORK:
The purpose of this project is to replace existing flue on boiler B-1 Futera XLF Model MB4000 and boiler B-3 Riello Array Model AR 4000. The end result desired is a new fully functional flue on each boiler in building 791, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER).
The work under this project includes all labor, materials, equipment, hardware, training, software and programming necessary to safely meet the following requirements.
2. REQUIREMENTS:
• Replace entire existing flue from each boiler to rooftop, to include rain caps with manufacturer instructions for each boiler centrotherm flue piping, meeting all pressure and temperature requirements. Completely close and seal all roof penetrations, water and weather tight from flue replacement.
• Provide flue manufacturer’s standard warranty for all parts.
• Each flue will have a drip line from flue with loop at bottom of flue.
• Flue footprint shall allow 360 degree access for maintenance.
Contractor shall comply with all applicable current code requirements for all aspects of this work. The contractor shall remove and dispose of all material and debris.
Contractor shall comply with all Manufacturer Operation and Maintenance Manual requirements for flue replacement on each boiler and operation. Work shall meet manufacturer warranty requirements regarding flue replacements.
Contractor must be a licensed mechanical contractor.
Contractor shall install each flue in accordance with the Construction Code of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
Contractor shall provide equipment submittals with bid.
Contractor shall provide a contractor labor warranty for all installed equipment for a minimum of one (1) year.
Contractor must perform testing and adjusting in accordance with manufacturer instructions.
Provide all equipment drawings and owner/operator training with all associated parties; i.e.
HVAC shop, building custodian, operators and service technicians. Training shall include operation and maintenance of flue.
3. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE:
All work under this project will be performed on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER) at building 791.
