Statement of Work (SOW) Project: Measurement of individual intake and respiratory gas exchange in an extensive rangeland environment.
GENERAL INFORMATION
1.0 Background: USDA Fort Keogh Livestock and Range Research Laboratory in Miles City, MT requires a service agreement for two Smart Scale devices and respiratory gas chamber in order to optimize range livestock production and sustainability using precision agriculture approaches that allow for real time intervention and assessment of management goals
2.0 Scope of Work:
Requires Data Access, Hardware and Software Support and Maintenance Service Agreements for C-Lock Smart Scale equipment #157, equipment #158 and respiratory gas chamber Greenfeed #127. The provider must be able to ensure equipment is capable to evaluate the use of supplementation delivered to individual animals on rangelands during times when forage quality and quantity is limited. This equipment provides an assessment of respiratory gas exchange of range livestock throughout the year regarding season and production stage.
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
3.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks: Contractor shall provide the following:
Maintenance and upkeep of equipment:
• Certified C-Lock service provider with agreement with company to maintain warranty.
• Access to technical service agents.
• On-site visit by a service engineer as required for service of equipment.
• Repair and maintenance services, including travel and parts.
• Repair or replace all parts that wear or break - normal wear and tear for two devices.
• Software/firmware upgrades including labor, travel and parts.
• An annual preventative maintenance service including parts and supplies.
• Verizon data line subscription for data transfer to C-Lock secure website.
• One subscription per modem, Up to 1GB of data.
Data Requirement:
• Required unlimited and complete access to both raw data and processed results generated by Green Feed Pasture System 127.
• Monitor operation and functions of two super feeders and one gas exchange chamber.
• Responsible for providing final data sets that have been reviewed for errors. will also be monitored by C-lock and replacement parts or C-lock technical assistant provided to maintain optimal operations.
4.0 Government Furnished:
USDA-ARS Fort Keogh LARRL will maintain the rangeland is used to hold and record data generated through the use of the feeders and respiratory gas chamber.
5.0 Deliverables / Schedule:
Data must be made available and will be provided from C-lock upon request of PI for specific dates requested. A 2-week timeframe will be granted upon request for finalized data.
6.0 Travel: no travel
7.0 Contractor’s Key Personnel: Service provider
8.0 Security Requirements: None
9.0 Data Rights: C-lock manages, stores, and provides final data upon request.
10.0 Section 508 – Electronic and Information Technology Standards:
Cloud storage and retrieval of data from C-lock servers. Verizon data line subscription for data transfer to C-Lock secure website. One subscription per modem, up to 1GB of data.
