Statement of Requirements Air University Database Package
1.0 SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENT. The Air University Library requires a subscription to the following database package to support the research needs of Air University students, faculty and staff.
2.0 DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS. This database package must meet the following minimum requirements:
2.1 Access to the full content of an Academic Search Premier Database which includes approximately 4,500 full text titles with a focus on Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, Psychology, Religion and philosophy, Science and technology, Veterinary science and access to over 75,000 videos from Associated Press from 1930 to present. Associated Press content be updated monthly or more frequently. Content must cover all titles specified in Tab A of Attachment 2. Each included title should reflect the required full text, indexing and abstracts, with the coverage years as specified in columns E-N for each title;
2.2 Access to a Book Index with Reviews Database which includes approximately 7,000,000 records and over 700,000 book reviews and additional records for eBook reviews, audiobook reviews, movie reviews and music recording reviews. Content must be formatted to allow the user to access reviews of all titles associated with any given author or artist with one click. Database search limit parameters must support filtering by genre, MPG rating and/or Lexile score and the ability to search by Dewey Decimal System range;
2.3 Access to a Business Source Complete Database which includes approximately 2,600 full text journal titles, and detailed company information for approximately 1,000,000 public and private companies, case studies, industry profiles, SWOT analyses, market research reports, news articles and country reports. Content must include all titles specified in Tab B of Attachment 2. Each included title should reflect the required full text, indexing and abstracts and period of coverage years as specified in columns E-N for each title;
2.4 Access to an International Security & Counter Terrorism Reference Center Database which includes approximately 2,500 full-text sources with a focus on homeland security and counter terrorism. Full text resources required include articles, books, FAQs, images, journals, periodicals, news feeds, proprietary background information, reports and summaries. Must include content from Stratfor Analysis, Stratfor Forecasts and Stratfor Geopolitical Diary. Content must include all titles specified in Tab C of Attachment 2. Each included title should reflect the required full text, indexing and abstracts and period of coverage years as specified in columns E-N for each title;
2.5 Access to a MasterFILE Premier Database which includes approximately 1,600 journal titles with a focus on business, health, education, general science and multicultural issues. Content must include all titles specified in Tab D of Attachment 2. Each included title should reflect the required full text, indexing and abstracts and period of coverage years as specified in columns E-N for each title;

2.6 Access to a MasterFILE Reference eBook collection Database which includes approximately 700 reference books with a focus on business, health, education, general science and multicultural issues. Content must include all titles specified in Tab E of Attachment 2. Each included title should include the required full text for the year of publication as specified in column G for each title;
2.7 Access to a Military & Government Collection Database which includes approximately 270 full text journal titles, and additional indexing and abstracts for approximately 470 additional journals and other periodicals with a focus on military and government news and research. Content must include all titles specified in Tab F of Attachment 2. Each included title should reflect the required full text, indexing and abstracts and period of coverage years as specified in columns E-I and column N for each title;
2.8 Access to a Serials Directory Database which includes bibliographic and pricing data for more than 108,000 publishers worldwide and bibliographic information for approximately 250,000 US and international titles;
2.9 The content resources listed in paragraphs 2.1 to 2.8 above should be accessible both individually as separate collections as well as searchable through a single, unified search interface that allows simultaneous searching of all content without requiring special workarounds, materials, equipment or vendor mediation;
2.10 The content resources listed in paragraphs 2.1 to 2.8 above must be linkable with durable Uniform Resource Locator (URL) at the title and article level without requiring special workarounds, materials, equipment or vendor mediation;
2.11 The content resources listed in paragraphs 2.1 to 2.8 above must be supported by library industry standard link resolver tools including Serials Solutions, SFX, TDNet and others without requiring special workarounds, materials, equipment or vendor mediation;
2.12 The content resources listed in paragraphs 2.1 to 2.8 above must be supported by IP authentication for access.
3.0 Provide unlimited online access for at least 5,000 full-time equivalent (FTE) Air University students faculty, and staff (including on-campus and distance learners) covering 30 Sep 2020 to 29 Sep 2021.
