STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVE

2AF BMT FURNITURE

PFINGSTON RECEPTION CENTER (PRC)

JBSA LAKCLAND AFB, TX 78236

15 July 2021

1.0. Mission Purpose. 2AF/Det 1 BMT Personnel Actions office has a requirement for modular furniture configuration of five cubicles, modular walls to create nine office spaces for privacy and also need storage furniture, to provide an efficient workspace for personnel and bring rest of the personnel over so everyone is together again instead of working in different buildings. We need storage furniture to house PII securely and have a place to store all the supplies and paperwork. Also need power supply to workstations and offices due to space being a blank canvas and not enough power supply.

2.0. Background. The BMT Personnel Actions office is where the orders and assignments are managed. Each week there are over 700 orders produced and delivered to squadrons so that trainees may ship out to their tech schools. Any trainee that is disqualified and receives a new AFSC will also come through this office to sign a contract change and receive new orders. Any trainee/airman that was on medhold or holdover and cleared to proceed will come through our office for orders as well. Currently there are only a few desks in the office with minimal storage and the airmen have to spread out the orders on an empty desk (not utilized because not enough power outlets etc.) The office is currently borrowing a file cabinet system from another office to help with limited storage. The space is shared with BMT supply room and a wall is supposed to go up eventually but the modular office walls will help separate the spaces until then. We have a limited amount of desks due to lack of power in the room and that is also why power supply is needed for the cubicles and to feed into the modular walls. This will allow more personnel from our team to move over and provide us the space and storage we all need to work efficiently and more organized.

3.0. Period and Place of Performance. Products are needed to be installed preferably before November 2021 and products are to be delivered and installed at the Pfingston Reception Center (PRC) 1800 Truemper St Bldg 6330 Room 157 BMT Personnel Actions (Orders & Assignments) JBSA Lackland AFB, TX 78236.

4.0. Requirement. The modular walls have to be a certain size down from the ceiling to avoid issues with HVAC system and fire sprinklers. The acoustic portion added to walls and doors will help with sound privacy since they cannot be ceiling high walls. They also are the only brand that work with the power systems that are needed. The modular cubicles are also compatible with the modular walls and the power supply that is needed. The cubicles need the glass on the top to be able to see if customers come in and the glass with the offices is needed for when trainees or customers are in the office but still provide some sound privacy. Soul-source document was submitted to justify all the compatibilities among the different systems and power supplies. The existing desks are being used in the offices spaces except for one, a new desk is needed because short one. This is a blank room so the whole system of cubicles and power supply is needed.

Also, this system matches up with other rooms in the PRC and cannot match with another brand.
