STATEMENT OF NEED FOR LASER ETCHER

1. GENERAL. The contractor shall provide all labor, material and resources required in accordance with this Statement of Need to procure, deliver and provide training for one (1) each laser etcher system.

2. DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES AND SERVICES. The contractor shall procure and deliver one (1) laser etcher. System shall:

• 50 Watt Marking System with high speed precision beam control

• 163mm Focusing Lens for a 100mm x 100mm marking area

• 1064 Nano Meters Pulsed Fiber

• Fiber Laser Controller 19” rack mountable case

• Enclosure physical size:

Minimum 24"H x 24"W x 27"D Maximum 30"H x 30"W x 33"D

• Breadboard size:

Minimum 9"H x 9"W Maximum 12"H x 12"W

• Eye protection for class IV system (2 pairs)

• Set up

• One day of system training at customer site

• System hardware and software controller with lap top with full license and support

• Input Power: 100-240VAC, 50/60Hz

• One-year off-site support, one-year on-site parts, and repair warranty

3. PLACE OF DELIVERY. 10730 5th Street East (Hangar 7), JBSA-Randolph, 78150.

4. TYPE OF CONTRACT. This requirement will be procured on a firm-fixed-price basis.

5. SPECIFIC TASKS. Procure, deliver, set up, and provide training for the laser etcher system.

6. QUALITY CONTROL: The contractor shall insure that all work performance under this Statement of Need meets the quality established in the solicitation.

7. HOURS OF OPERATION: Normal duty hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Special permission may be obtained to work other than normal duty hours, provided it is at no additional cost to the government.

8. WARRANTY. Warranty shall be in accordance with the manufacturer's standard commercial warranty.

9. INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE. Delivery of all supplies and installation will be on-site. Delivery and installation shall be FOB Destination within 8 weeks after receipt of purchase order award. Delivery address: 10730 5th Street East (Hangar 7), JBSA-Randolph, 78150.
