STATEMENT OF WORK
McFaddin NWR
Limestone Road Base
1. General:
1.1 Purpose/End Application: Procure and deliver no more than 2,000 tons of limestone road base to McFaddin National Wildlife Refuge.
1.2 Contractor Qualifications and Required Specifications:
• Deliver two thousand (2,000) tons of limestone road base by belly dump trailers
• Must spread dump limestone road base with belly dump trailers on existing improved and unimproved roads
• Must turn around in specified locations as determined by refuge staff
• Must end deliveries at or less than 2,000 tons
2. Place of Performance and Period of Performance: The furthest location is approximately 10.
7 miles south/southeast of the intersection of Highway 73 and Big Hill Road with coordinates being 29.7406° N, -94.1595° W. Roads are combination of unimproved two track ranch roads and improved all-weather rocked roads. To avoid unnecessary environmental damages and violations of the law, Refuge staff will specify turnaround locations.
2.1 Deliveries will start at the earliest opportunity after the PO is awarded. Weather and refuge staffing conditions will determine exactly when delivery windows will occur. All deliveries will be made prior to May 31, 2024.
2.2 Normal duty hours Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. In the event of emergencies, Contractor shall provide contact information.
2.3 Non-duty hours include week nights, weekends, and Government holidays (New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King JR.s’s Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day).
3. Deliverables and/or Delivery Schedule:
Deliver two thousand (2,000) tons of limestone road base by belly dump trailers.
Spread dump limestone road base with belly dump trailers on existing improved and unimproved roads.
Contractor and refuge management must coordinate number and timing of loads at least 24 hours prior to delivery. Any limestone road base delivered to McFaddin NWR exceeding the required 2,000 tons shall be at the expense of the contractor.
