SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS FOR AIRCRAFT WING JACK

TRAILER

The Wing Jack Trailer will have the following Salient Characteristics:

The Hydraulically Operated Elevating Platform Trailer is used for the safe and efficient loading/unloading and transportation of KC135 aircraft wing jacks. The hydraulically operated elevating platform is capable of allowing an incline of 3% or less from the ground to the trailer bed when loading and unloading. The trailer bed can then be raised to at least 11 inches for transport. The Wing Jack Trailer will be used for flight-line operations only at speeds of 15 mph or less, so lights, fenders, and brakes are not required.

The max Tongue Load is up to 1,480 lbs.

The max Wheel load is at least 6,540 lbs.

The Gross Payload Capacity is at least 4,000 lbs.

The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating is at least 8,020 lbs.

Includes a spare tire and carrier.

Includes a lockable 12V Battery with a 110V Battery Maintainer mounted on the trailer.

Includes a Solar Battery Charger mounted securely to the trailer, out of the way of the load.

Includes a Tie Down Rail mounted around the front and sides of the frame. The tie down rail can be augmented with D-rings located on the front and the sides. The tie-down rail and D-rings must be robust enough to secure KC-135 wing jacks.

Includes Safety Chains

Includes Rated Axles and Wheels to a max of at least 7,000 lbs.

Includes 2 ½ inch pintle Hitch.

Includes a Standard Tongue Jack.

Includes Gray Enamel Paint but black is acceptable.

8-10' wide, 24-26' long, Clearance of trailer deck when transporting jacks: at least 10"
