Salient Characteristics Heat Treat Oven
1) Dual Chamber Oven
2) Both Chambers must meet SAE-AMS2750 Rev F specifications
3) Both Chambers must be equipped with
a. Temperature Uniformity Survey (TUS) and
b. System Accuracy Test (SAT) ports
4) Upper Chamber must be an operational Class 5 chamber of +/- 25 F (50 F variance) in a work area 20" H x 20" W x 40" L between 1400F and 2000 F and lined with a minimum 6.5" of insulation consisting of 2300 F insulating firebrick hot face layer and 1900 F mineral wool cold face layer combination
5) Lower Chamber must be an operational Class 2 chamber of +/- 10 F (20 F variance) in a work area 20" H x 20" W x 40" L between 200 F and 1100 F and lined with a minimum
4.5" of insulation consisting of 2300 F insulating firebrick hot face layer and 1900 F mineral wool cold face layer combination
6) Both Chambers equipped with Paperless Recorder/ Controllers
7) Both Chambers equipped with DC 120 1/16 DIN High Limit controllers
8) Both Chambers must each measure 24” H x 24” W x 48” L exactly to be able to provide material uniformity to the work area of 20" H x 20" W x 40" L
9) Total Oven dimensions must measure 133” H x 50” W x 77” L to fit in the limited amount of shop space designated for this operation
10) Heat Treat oven purchase must include quench tank with minimum dimensions of 31” H x 26”
W x 52” L to be able to adequately quench parts of the current project
