STATEMENT OF WORK
PORTABLE TOILETS
DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY SAN JOAQUIN – TRACY SITE
A. Contractor shall provide the following:
Nine (9) Toilet/urinal/sink units Two (2) Hand Wash Stations
B. Chemical toilets shall meet San Joaquin Health Standards and codes applicable to Ordinance 949 and specifically the following criteria:
1. Each unit must be private. No occupant will be visible.
2. Units will be designed and maintained to prevent access of flies, well ventilated with self-closing lockable (from the inside) doors.
3. Inside surface will be of durable material, smooth, easily cleaned with a light color finish.
4. Tank for toilet will be sufficient to contain the initial chemical charge; and be a minimum capacity of 40 gallons. Size and construction will be such as to prevent splashing on the occupant, field, or road.
5. Chemicals utilized shall at all times control odors and liquefy solids and have the following characteristics:
a. A bacteriostatic agent to prevent decomposition of the sewage.
b. An effective deodorant material to mask objectionable odors.
c. Contain a suitable emulsifying agent in addition to water to break down solid matter.
6. Contents of chemical tanks shall be disposed of by the Contractor off depot.
7. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to insure that toilets are serviced and maintained in a clean sanitary condition and kept in good repair at all times.
8. Toilets are to be serviced two (2) times per week, on Monday and Thursday during the months of April thru September, and one (1) time per week during the months of October thru March.
C. Each toilet shall have a service card dated and signed by Contractor at each cleaning.
D. Government reserves the right to terminate any or all chemical toilet units upon a written thirty-day (30) notice to the Contractor when services are no longer required.
