Statement of Work For
Vertical Carousel Replacement Fairchild AFB, WA
2 May 2023
1. Description of Services. The contractor disassemble an existing unit(s) and install new Vertical Carousel unit(s) at Fairchild AFB, WA in accordance with all federal, state, local laws, and regulations, manufacturer’s recommended standards, commercial requirements and this Statement of Work (SOW). One unit is a funded requirement and the other unit is an unfunded requirement. The government will have the option to order the additional unit by exercising an option CLIN if funding become available for this unit prior to 30 September 2023.
2. Scope of Work. The contractor shall provide all material, labor, tools, and complete all work including electrical and labor to disassemble and replace the fixed vertical carousel unit at Fairchild AFB, WA. Contractor personnel shall be fully qualified to remove and install equipment according to established standards.
2.1. Removal and Installation. The contractor shall schedule the carousel units removal and installation with the user. The contractor shall disassemble the existing unit(s) and save all serviceable parts for the government to store. A new vertical carousel that meets the salient characteristics (Appendix B) shall be delivered and installed. The contractor shall be required to dispose of any un-serviceable parts and debris created during installation. Removal and installation includes the disconnection and connection of electrical power.
2.2. Warranties: The delivered vertical carousel shall come with standard manufacturer warranty.
Each warranty document’s terms and conditions shall be identified in the contractor’s proposal. Extended warranty, if available, shall be considered prior to contract award. The government will only accept new items, and will not accept refurbished equipment. Warranties shall be inclusive of industry standard parts and labor rates and warranty proposals which exceed manufacturer provided allowances will be considered.
3.0 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY AND SERVICES: The government will provide reasonable access to all utilities necessary for contractor performance, as well as potable water, and on-site restrooms. The south side area of the building is available for use, as needed, for staging contractor equipment, tools, and items. The contractor shall keep the area secure and clean at all times.
It is the contractor’s responsibility to confirm prior to installation all items proposed are compatible with existing utilities, connections, amperage, wattage, and space. Measurements provided herein are considered estimates as the final item actually ordered may differ from the Brand Name or Equal Item sought.
4.0 SECURITY REQUIREMENTS: All contractor working on FAFB shall abide by USAF security regulations. Contractor personnel requiring access to base shall provide all required documentation and coordinate pass request at least 7 days prior to scheduled installation. Emergency services are provided on FAFB when necessary, and may be billed at cost to the contractor, as applicable.

Appendix B – Salient Characteristics
The government is requesting (2) Vertical Carousels, one certified and one as an option. The carousel unit shall be delivered and installed at 400 S. Gate 35 Road, Bldg. 2045, Fairchild AFB, WA 99011.
Specifications:
121-123” wide x 65.80 - 67” deep x 23'4" – 25’ high Worksurface – 12-15” deep 23 Multipurpose Carriers (L= 98-1/2” X H= 20” X D= 24-1/2”) Each Multipurpose Carriers to have 2 Intermediate Shelves for a total of 69 Levels Each intermediate shelf must hold 16 bins (24” X 5-6/8” X 5” that have 6 dividers) Total bins in Carousel 1,104 Power Requirement: 480V / 3~ / 50/60 Hz Emergency hand crank provides access to stored products at all times.
Automatic chain tensioner Horizontal LED Pick-To-Light System to help easily identify where items are stored on the shelf.
Safety Light Curtain: Automatically stops carousel rotation when breached.
Separate Safety Switch Box installed
Instructions: Remove existing carousel unit(s) and replace with new carousel unit(s).
