United States Department of Interior Bureau of Land Management – Northcentral Montana District
GLASGOW FIELD OFFICE
NORTH VALLEY COVER CROP SEED
VALLEY COUNTY, MONTANA
I. Introduction and Background
The BLM-Glasgow Field Office is implementing habitat restoration projects to benefit greater sage-grouse by utilizing a multi-phased approach. Various management strategies have been used to date across the 4 proposed units, including prescribed fire, herbicide treatments and initial native seed mixes. The native seed mixes have not grown to date, so the BLM is implementing cover cropping to improve soil health before a second native plant seeding. In the spring of 2024, the BLM plans to seed up to approximately 1,450 acres with a cover crop, depending on available funding.
II. Statement of Work
There are various schedules of work available through this contract, of which only one will be awarded. The contractor will supply a Schedule of Values upon submittal of the quote for this contract.
