Statement of Work Illumina NextSeq Sequencing System
Background:
The National Institute of Health (NIH) is the nation’s leading medical research agency and the primary Federal agency seeking fundamental knowledge about the nature and behavior of living systems and the application of that knowledge to enhance health, lengthen life, and reduce illness and disability. The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI), mission has expanded to encompass a broad range of studies aimed at understanding the structure and function of the human genome and its role in health and disease. The Microarrays and Single-cell Genomics Core (MSCGC) represents a consortium between the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI), the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) to provide investigators with full service, cost-effective and time-efficient access to comprehensive state-of-the-art array-based transcriptomics for the last 20 years.
Purpose:
The purpose of this acquisition is to procure a NextSeq-2000 sequencer fits perfectly our core mission in providing a multitude of DNA and RNA applications to increase the data output and reduce the cost by a factor 2-3 as compared to other existing platform. It is vital that the instruments be well maintained and operational in order to allow us to properly support our mission.
Contractor Requirements:
1. The contractor shall provide service and maintenance of the Instrument, and support for the Software, for a period as defined on this Agreement. Includes full coverage on parts, labor and travel, as well as an annual PM.
