About this file

This document contains details on a sole source federal contract opportunity for a Hyperion Ion Source from Cameca Instruments, Inc. The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command is seeking to procure a high brightness RF-plasma oxygen ion source to replace the duoplasmatron on several of its Cameca IMS 1280 mass spectrometer instruments. The ion source and associated equipment, installation, training, and warranty are being sourced directly from Cameca Instruments as the sole manufacturer and provider of this equipment for their IMS-1280 line. Pricing and other details on the ion source and its capabilities are provided to describe the requirements of this non-competitive sole source procurement.
