Requirements for Telehandler Background:

The 704th Test Group’s (704 TG) mission is to be the premier provider of unique test and evaluation capabilities relevant to tomorrow’s warfighter through world-class people improving technical excellence, cost-effectiveness, and agility. The National Radar Cross Section (RCS) Test Facility (NRTF) is assigned to the 704 TG. The NRTF securely provides our national defense partners with accurate, impartial, and timely: RCS Measurements, Antenna Patterns, and Comprehensive Data Products.

The NRTF requires a telehandler with basket attachment to be able to lift heavy equipment or personnel. This telehandler is to provide access to target lift hardware during flip and column mount operations. It will enhance safety because the operator will be able to access the hardware from within the basket without having to walk on top of the target. It will also be used to load and unload trucks.

1. Operational Requirements:

The vendor shall deliver one telehandler that meets the following requirements:

1.1 Maximum Lift Height ≥ 40 ft

1.2 Capacity at Maximum Lift Height ≥ 6,000 lb

1.3 Maximum Reach ≥ 25ft

1.4 Capacity @ Maximum Reach ≥ 1,000 lb

1.5 Drive must be 4 x 4

1.6 Maximum Travel Speed ≥ 20 mph

1.7 Capable of having interchangeable attachments on boom (forks, work platforms, baskets, lifting hooks, truss boom, etc.) Work platform is required

1.8 Enclosed cab with air conditioning for operator

1.9 Exterior lights for working at night
