GRANT DETAILS
Thank you for your interest in the PEPFAR Small Grants program – Capacity building grant. The grant application period is now open until April 30, 2018.
Overview
Funded by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), the PEPFAR Small Grants program Capacity Building grant is for an organization that can assist in building capacity of the selected grantees for the PEPFAR Small Grants Program 2018-2019. The organization will provide these grantees with skills in project management, financial management, grants management, team building and conflict resolution to ensure these projects a sustainable and successful outcome. The groups to be trained are small groups with community-initiated projects which aim to strengthen health service delivery in communities affected by HIV and AIDS and community groups who support community-based HIV and AIDS care initiatives and Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC).
This grant will be awarded for a six-month period and the funding level will depend on factors regarding the PEPFAR Small Grants Program grantees, such as location and number of people, but will not exceed $20,000. The organization that is funded will be required to measure and report the results it achieves by following PEPFAR and the U.S. Department of State’s reporting requirements.
Consideration will be given to organizations which:
· Are well-established and can reach the whole country;
· Have experience in providing project management training;
· Are oriented toward communities, not individuals; and
