APPLICATION TO TURFGRASS
LESCO® BANDIT 75 WSP Insecticide can be used for the control of soil inhabiting pests of turfgrass, such as Northern & Southern masked chafers, Cyclocephala borealis, C. immaculata, and/or C. lurida; Asiatic garden beetle, Maladera castanea; European chafer, R h i z o t r o q u s majalis; Green June beetle, Cotinis nitida; May or June beetle, Phyllophaga spp.; Japanese beetle, Popillia japonica; Oriental beetle, Anomala orientalis; Billbugs, Sphenophorus spp.; Annual bluegrass weevil, Hyperodes spp.; Black turfgrass ataenius, Ataenius spretulus and Aphodius spp.; European crane fly, Tipula paludosa; and mole crickets, Scapteriscus spp.. LESCO® BANDIT 75 WSP Insecticide can also be used for the suppression of cutworms and chinchbugs in turf-grass areas. LESCO® BANDIT 75 WSP Insecticide can be used as directed on turfgrass in sites such as home lawns, business and office complexes, shopping complexes, multi-family residential complexes, golf courses, airports, cemeteries, parks, playgrounds, athletic fields and sod farms.
The active ingredient in LESCO® BANDIT 75 WSP Insecticide has suffi-cient residual activity so that applications can be made preceding the egg laying activity of the target pests. High levels of control can be achieved when applications are made preceding or during the egg lay-ing period. The need for an application can be based on historical mon-itoring of the site, previous records or experiences, current season adult trapping or other methods. Optimum control will be achieved when applications are made prior to egg hatch of the target pests, fol-lowed by sufficient irrigation or rainfall to move the active ingredient through the thatch.
Applications should not be made when turfgrass areas are waterlogged or the soil is saturated with water. Adequate distribution of the active ingredient cannot be achieved when these conditions exist. The treat-ed turf area must be in such a condition that the rainfall or irrigation will penetrate vertically in the soil profile. Applications cannot exceed a total of 8.6 oz (0.4 lb of active ingredient) per acre per year.
Application Equipment for Use on Turfgrass Apply LESCO® BANDIT 75 WSP Insecticide in sufficient water to pro-vide adequate distribution in the treated area. The use of accurately cal-ibrated equipment normally used for the application of turfgrass insec-ticides is required. Use equipment which will produce a uniform, coarse droplet spray, using a low pressure setting to eliminate off tar-get drift. Check calibration periodically to ensure that equipment is working properly.
APPLICATION TO ORNAMENTALS
LESCO® BANDIT 75 WSP Insecticide is for use on ornamentals in com-mercial and residential landscapes and interior plantscapes. LESCO®
BANDIT 75 WSP Insecticide is a systemic product and will be translo-cated upward into the plant system from root uptake. To assure opti-mum effectiveness, the product must be placed where the growing por-tion of the target plant can absorb the active ingredient. The addition of a nitrogen containing fertilizer, where applicable, into the solution may enhance the uptake of the active ingredient. Application can be made by foliar application or soil applications; including soil injection, drenches, and broadcast sprays. Foliar applications offer locally sys-temic activity against insect pests.
When making soil applications to plants with woody stems, systemic activity will be delayed until the active ingredient is translocated throughout the plant. In some cases, this translocation delay could take 60 days or longer. For this reason, applications should be made prior to anticipated pest infestation to achieve optimum levels of control.
For outdoor ornamentals, broadcast applications cannot exceed a total of 8.6 oz (0.4 lb of active ingredient) per acre per year.
Ant Management Programs Use LESCO® BANDIT 75 WSP to control aphids, scale insects, mealy-bugs and other sucking pests on ornamentals to limit the honeydew available as a food source for ant populations. LESCO® BANDIT 75 WSP applications can be then be supplemented with residual sprays, bait placements or other ant control tactics to further reduce the pest population.
NOTE: Not for use in commercial greenhouses, nurseries, or on grass-es grown for seed, or on commercial fruit and nut trees.
Application Equipment for Foliar Applications LESCO® BANDIT 75 WSP Insecticide mixes readily with water and may be used in many types of application equipment. Mix product with the required amount of water and apply as desired dependent upon the selected use pattern.
When making foliar applications on hard to wet foliage such as holly, pine, or ivy, the addition of a spreader/ sticker is recommended. If con-centrate or mist type spray equipment is used, an equivalent amount of product should be used on the area sprayed, as would be used in a dilute application.
MIXING: Within each foil pouch is a clear inner packet containing LESCO® BANDIT 75 WSP Insecticide. The clear inner packet is water soluble. Do not allow packets to become wet prior to adding to the spray tank. Do not handle the clear inner packets with wet hands or wet gloves. Rough handling may cause breakage. Reseal outer carton to protect remaining packets.
To prepare the spray mixture, remove the outer foil pouch and drop the required number of unopened clear water soluble packets, as deter-mined under “Recommended Applications”, into the spray tank while filling with water to the desired level. Operate the agitator while mixing.
Depending on the water temperature and the degree of agitation, the packets should be completely dissolved within a few minutes from the time they are added to the water. Cooler water temperatures increase the time needed for the inner packet to dissolve completely.
NOTE: Do not use LESCO® BANDIT 75 WSP packets in a tank-mix with products that contain Boron or release free chlorine. The resultant reaction of PVA and boron or free chlorine is a plastic which is not sol-uble in water or solvents such as diesel oils, kerosene, gasoline or alco-hol. Do not attempt to use the WSP packets directly in diesel oils or summer spray type oils as in ULV or LV uses. PVA packets are water soluble not oil soluble. Use of chlorinated water is acceptable.
LESCO® BANDIT 75 WSP Insecticide has been found to be compatible with commonly used fungicides, miticides, liquid fertilizers, and other commonly used insecticides. Check physical compatibility using the correct proportion of products in a small jar test if local experience is unavailable.
Do not apply through any irrigation system.

Apply specified dosage as foliar spray as needed after petal-fall is complete.
For control of rosy apple aphid, apply prior to leafrolling caused by the pest.
For first generation leafminer control, make first application as soon as petal-fall is complete. Greatest leafminer control will result from the ear-liest possible application. For second and succeeding generations of leafminer, optimal control is obtained from applications made early in the adult flight against egg and early instar larvae. A second application may be required 10 days later if severe pressure continues or if generations are overlapping. A single application may result in suppression only. LESCO® BANDIT 75 WSP will not control late stage larvae.
For San Jose Scale, time applications to the crawler stage. Treat each generation.
For late season (preharvest) control of leafhopper species, apply LESCO® BANDIT 75 WSP while most leafhoppers are in the nymphal stage.
For optimal control of mealybug, insure good spray coverage of the trunk and scaffolding limbs or other resting sites of the mealybug.
Do not apply more than 2.1 ounces per acre in a single application. Do not make more than 5 applications.

APPLICATION TO TREES
Merit Tree Injection can be used to control a variety of insect pests of ornamental or forest trees. Pests controlled include aphids, whiteflies, soft scales, adelgids, leafhoppers, lace bugs, mealybugs, psyllids, leaf-feeding beetles, sawflies, borers, and leafmining flies, beetles, and wasps. Merit Tree Injection also can be used for suppression of thrips and armored scales. Merit Tree Injection can be used as directed on ornamental trees in residential areas, business and office complexes, shopping complexes, multi-family residential complexes, golf courses, airports, cemeteries, parks, playgrounds, and athletic fields. Merit Tree Injection also can be used in commercial forestry production, nurs-eries, greenhouses, and in state, federal, county and local recreational forests.
The active ingredient in Merit Tree Injection has sufficient residual activity so that applications can be made preceding the attack of the trees by target pests. Merit Tree Injection also controls existing infes-tations of most labeled pests; control of existing infestations of borers and other difficult-to-control pests can be achieved if the level of infes-tation is not excessively severe at the time of application. If the level of infestation is severe, the high label rate for the targeted pest is recom-mended.
Systemic activity occurs only after the active ingredient is translocated upwards in the tree. In some cases, translocation can take 10 days or longer, depending on the transpiration rate of the treated plant.
The need for an application can be based on historical monitoring of the site, previous records or experiences, current season adult trapping or other methods. For best results (i.e., to ensure uptake), application should be made when the tree is actively transpiring.
NOTE: Not for use on trees where the fruits and/or nuts are consumed.
Do not apply more than once per year per tree.
Application Equipment Merit Tree Injection can be applied with a variety of trunk injection devices. Devices should be chemically-resistant. For all injector sys-tems, read carefully and follow all manufacturer’s directions for use.
Drilling the hole With most injector systems, it is necessary to predrill holes prior to insertion of the applicator device. Holes should be drilled deep enough to permit transport of Merit Tree Injection upwards in the vascular tis-sue.
DOSING: For microinjection, set and dispense into the injector the required dosage, and pressurize the injector as directed.
For high-volume injection, FIRST add the required amount of water to the reservoir of the injector, and then dispense the prescribed amount of Merit Tree Injection into the reservoir.
For high-volume injection, add no more than 7 ml of Merit Tree Injection per liter of water. While injecting, ensure that the active ingre-dient remains in solution. The solubility of the product in the water can depend upon the temperature, pH, and the mineral content of the water.
A small amount of Merit Tree Injection should be diluted in water, and the mixture carefully observed. If the mixture appears cloudy or if solid particles form within 5-10 minutes, a more dilute injection solution should be prepared.

Read and follow the manufacturers' written documentation on the proper use and maintenance of the injector you are using. The follow-ing rates are generally recommended as a function of tree diameter at breast height (DBH).
2 to 11 inches DBH 1.2 mL (0.04 fl oz) per diameter inch.
12 to 23 inches DBH 2.3 mL (0.08 fl oz) per diameter inch.
24 to 35 inches DBH 4.7 mL (0.16 fl oz) per diameter inch.
36 inches DBH and above use 7.0 mL (0.24 fl oz) per diameter inch.
GENERAL DIRECTIONS: To determine the initial number of needed injection holes, measure the tree at breast height using a standard forestry tape measure. a) If measuring the circumference, divide this number by six (6) to determine the number of holes needed. b) If measuring the diameter, divide this number by two (2) to determine the number of injection holes needed. c) Initial injector sites should be in the active sapwood, evenly spaced around the tree at the root buttress region and avoiding the root valleys. d) If a single hole can-not accept its full dose, that dose may be divided among the other ini-tial injection holes. e) If additional injection holes are needed they may be spaced horizontally or vertically from the initial holes.
The minimum horizontal spacing for injection sites is 3 inches. The minimum vertical spacing for injection sites is 6 inches. Preferably vertical spacing should be staggered and not aligned. Do not apply more than once per calendar year.

ARBORSYSTEMS DIRECT-INJECT TREE INJECTION SYSTEM
The ArborSystems Direct-Inject Tree Injection System is easy to use.
Most trees are treated in as little as five minutes or less with no drilling required. Chemical is injected into the cambial area of the tree (the active vascular system). There is no need to wait for absorption (translocation). Because the chemical is placed right where the tree can use it, effectiveness of the chemical is increased. Use in sunny or over-cast conditions, rainy or dry, at any time of day. As no drilling or implants are required, you can treat trees year after year, with no threat of long-term or permanent damage to the tree. Direct-Inject Systems minimize wounding and promote long-term tree vigor.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)
Use protective eyewear and gloves when handling ArborSystems Direct-Inject chemicals. Use chemical-resistant gloves made of any waterproof material such as barrier laminate, butyl rubber, nitrile rubber, neoprene rubber, natural rubber, polyethylene, polyvinylchloride (PVC) or viton.
INDICATIONS
As a preventative, apply in the early spring prior to insect activity in the tree. As a remedial (on trees already showing symptoms of infestation), apply as needed spring through fall, provided the bark is pliable enough to accept the chemical injections.

HOW TO USE ARBORSYSTEMS DIRECT-INJECT CHEMICALS WITH
ARBORSYSTEMS DIRECT-INJECT UNITS
1. Use only ArborSystems Direct-Inject chemicals with your unit as they have been formulated specifically for the Direct-Inject system. Use of other chemicals will invalidate warranty.
2. Attach the chemical pack to the Direct-Inject unit and prepare the unit to make injections.
3. Set the delivery volume on the unit.
4. Follow the label directions to determine the amount of chemical and number of injection sites.
5. Determine where to make injections in the bark. Generally, the injection tip is inserted into the fissure (valley) of the tree bark.
Inject thin-barked trees in the thicker part of the tree bark.
Thick-barked trees require a longer injection tip.
6. Make injections working around the circumference of the tree. Make Wedgle® Tip injections within 12" of the ground.
Portle® Tip injection height varies depending on type of tree and location.
7. When treating hardwoods, use Wedgle® Tips and make injec-tions within 12" of the ground. Initially, use the shorter Wedgle Tip; if no resistance is met after this initial insertion past the bark
(i.e., if the tip does not reach the outer xylem ring), withdraw the Tip. Replace the short Tip with the longer Tip to ensure the Tip fully penetrates the…
