Courier Svc for Peanut Samples Additional Information:
Pickups are made as late as possible in day so that the contractor can be assured that samples compiled that day will be analyzed by the laboratory the next day. The contractors do not have after hours designated pickup locations. If a pickup is required after work hours, a pickup location will be designated by the facility when needed. The samples vary from 2-3 lbs up to 50 lbs each. Not all locations need pickups every day. The vendor could possibly have a daily pickup from each contractor in the towns listed or they could have only one pickup location each day. There could be days when no pickups are required. Friday pickups need to be delivered on Saturday and left in the designated drop off box or area. The samples are positive lot identified and should not be carried around for an extended length of time in a vehicle which could cause samples to be lost, damaged or compromised in some manner. Also, there are tags or paperwork attached to samples that could easily be torn off and lost.
Payment is made approximately 30 days after submission of invoice and accompanying documentation such as trip tickets.
Courier service is to be provided from the locations indicated in this announcement to the Aflatoxin Laboratory in Blakely GA.
Samples are picked up at the end of the facility work day and transported to the lab by 7:00 am the following morning
The estimated start date for this service is February 1, 2009.
