Delete entire section and replace with the following:
Work includes furnishing, placement, and compaction of one or more courses of aggregate on a prepared surface.
301.04 Mixing and Spreading
Delete entire section and replace with the following:
Ensure that aggregate and any required additives, water, mineral filler, and binder are mixed by the specified method except, if crushed aggregate products are being produced and mineral filler, binder, or additives are required, uniformly blend following crushing. Control additive proportions to 0.5 percent dry weight.
Do not place the mixture in a layer exceeding 6 inches in compacted thickness. When more than one layer is necessary, compact each layer according to Subsection 301.05 before placing the next layer. Route hauling equipment uniformly over the full width of the surface to minimize rutting or uneven compaction.
After placing the aggregate for each layer, mix it with other required materials at the required moisture content until the mixture is uniform throughout. Mix aggregate, water, and all other materials until a uniform distribution is obtained.
Spread the aggregate in a uniform layer, with no segregation of size, and to a loose depth that will provide the required compacted thickness.
When placing aggregate over geotextile, place aggregate in a single lift to the full depth specified.
Route and distribute hauling and leveling equipment over the width and length of each layer.

625 - Turf Establishment
Construction Requirements
625.03 General.
Apply turf establishment to prepared ground or any disturbed area between May 1st and November 1st. Apply turf establishment to the areas shown on the plans within 10 days after completion of ground disturbing activities. Seeded areas damaged by construction activities shall be reseeded within 10 days of the damage. Do not seed during windy weather or when the ground is excessively wet, frozen, or snow covered.
Seeding Procedure
1. Seed with a perennial ryegrass (20 lbs/acre), immediately after seedbed has been prepared (lightly roughing up or raking seed bed). Seed with a no-till drill or by hand broadcasting.
a. If using no-till drill, plant at a depth of ¼ to ½ inch.
b. When hand seeding, lightly rake the soil to lightly loosen it. Mix the native seed in a larger volume of lightweight, inert material such as sawdust, peat moss, or vermiculite. This inert matter should be slightly damp, so that the seed will stick to it. Divide seed mixture in half. Broadcast half the mixture in one direction (e.g. east-west) then broadcast the remaining half on the perpendicular gradient (eg., north-south).
2. Seed require firm seed to soil contact to promote good germination and survival. Roll (or drive over or use feet) to firm the seeded area after planting.
3. Hydroseeding does not ensure firm seed-to-soil contact. Hydroseeding may not be used.
4. Cover seeding in hill construction area with a straw blanket. Secure straw blanket according to manufactures specifications.
