Planter Specifications

A new planter is required to sow a multitude of cereal grain crops including wheat, barley and triticale of variable seed size (12-18 mm) and in various plot arrangements. The following specifications are required for planting field trials: monoseed planting capability for uniform distribution of seeds both intra- and inter-row for precise plant population; row spacings of 7.5 inches or wider for as many as 7 rows; single funnel for filling a row and central feeder for filing 7 rows simultaneously; mechanical seed disc drive with a cereal grain disc plate; seed depth accuracy via mechanically driven Great Plains double disk openers, lateral depth control rollers and conical following rollers; complete compressor air plant components driven by a power- train-based power take-off shaft to drive the compressor and high performance pneumatic (vacuum) turbine; dust and water separator/accumulator to avoid contamination of the pneumatic system; Chassis and spar for as many as 7 drilling rows with movable framed plate girders; driving wheels and integrated drive for changes in speed gear; universal platform for seed deposit and seat for the operator; plot management hardware and software compatible with existing tractor-based Tremble GPS auto steer system and FMXlOOO monitor; communication software and cable connections for sequential control and monitoring; plot data recorder to document planter and plot configuration; parts kit; availability of parts from a USA vendor; prompt delivery time; initial setup and training.
