Text version
Q. I have found that the required chain comes in ninety foot leaths.
For most of the buoys, That would be two to one scope. If the depth at mean low water is greater than 45 feet, up to ninety feet, it would be one to one. If a buoy is in ninety feet of water, can a shackal be added or is a one to one scope O.K.?
I have picked cucumbers off the mooring buoy anchors in South Arm, Allen Point And Seven Fathom, they are all in less than fifty feet of water. If there are anchors to mooring buoys in depths greater than 50 feet at mean low water, please advise so we can get them to proper scope also.
A. A single shot has been used on all of these buoys and is sufficient. One buoy, Moser Island has been pulled off of it's original location and should be placed approximately 300 feet east of it's current location into the protection of the cove.
