This AB-1330-17-RP-0099 consists of questions received from potential offerors and the Government's responses thereto.
Question: Line 352, the Garmin 8212 is a discontinued model. Does the USG have another model to specify? If the model requested is discontinued, please replace with a Garmin model of equivalent type.
Question: Line 123, is propane acceptable for the water heater? With no generator, an electric water heater is a high draw item and can pose heavy loads on the system. Propane is an acceptable fuel source for the water heater.
Question: Line 121, does the USG require a total pumping capacity of 3,700 GPM or is each bilge pump to be 3,700 GPM? This is a combined requirement of 3,700 GPM.
Question: Line 310, how many sirens/hailers does the USG desire in total? The typical law enforcement siren includes a loudhailer. Is that acceptable? Yes
Question: Line 311, is the washdown pump to be fresh water or raw water? Fresh water
Question: Line 356, is this PA speaker in addition to the hailer called out in line 310? The two speakers identified are one in the same. No additional speaker is needed.
Question: Line 359, can the USG specify the number of lights? Is 2 flood lights and 2 work lights (four total deck lights) correct? Four total deck lights with 2 aft and 1 one on each port and starboard side.
Question: Line 367, “provide 12v electrical outlet in hard”? Can the USG please specify this requirement? This is a request for shore power hookup.
Question: Line 109, “breached hull across multiple compartments.” Does this indicate a requirement for 2-compartment subdivision standard of survival? This seems a severe requirement for a 32 – 37.5 ft boat.
Please clarify. Yes, this is a requirement for 2-compartment subdivision standard of survival.
Question: Line 110, “cabin constructed of 5286 Aluminum. Does the USG mean to say 5086? This should read “cabin constructed of 5052 Aluminum.
Question: Line 115, “Provide seating for minimum 4, 3 at console, 2 at dinette.” Is minimum seating requirement supposed to be 5? Please clarify. A minimum of four HO Bostrom suspension seats in addition to the dinette seating.
Question: Line 120, is a Fortress Anchor an acceptable alternative to a Danforth Anchor? Yes, the Fortess Anchor is acceptable.
Question: Line 123, does the USG require a macerator with the head unit? Yes
