Interested Vendor Q & A 7 March 2019

A19-057 4500 Electrostatic Paint Guns

(10) Ten Portable Electrostatic Paint Spray Cart systems P/N: SOTPAINT301CRT (or Equivalent)

• Must have (2) 100’ hoses with ¼ ID swivel connection

• Should this read “Each system must be supplied with one 100’ Grounded air hose & one 100’ fluid hose? Yes, but should be 50’ grounded air and 50’ fluid hose.

• Must have 3’ to 6’ fluid whip hose and suction fluid hose

• Specify exact length required for a fluid whip hose. That length should match the Grounded air hose whip. 3’ fluid whip (all of our current 4500 rigs are 3’ whip.)

• Must have 3’ to 6’ electrostatic grounded air hose

• Specify exact length of grounded air hose whip. 6’ is standard, shortest, whip hose. 3’ grounded air whip (all of our current 4500 rigs are 3’ whip.)

• Must have high pressure 85k spray guns or higher

• OK. Standard “High pressure” Electrostatic spray guns are rated at a maximum of 3,000 psi fluid pressure. 85kV refers to electrostatic voltage output. There are 60kV models and 85kV models. We use 85kV. (H85T10)

• Must have paint fluid agitator and regulator control system

• OK

• Must have spray gun assembly with a psi of 5000 or greater with 1GPM or higher

• There are NO Electrostatic spray guns capable of that fluid pressure rating. Is this specification confused with the paint PUMP requirements? Yes, this is the pump requirement.

• Must have cart frame system with light weight durable wheels, pneumatic tires and front swivel tire with brakes to traverse rough terrain

• We do not have any such cart available for a pneumatic paint pump. Rough terrain, brakes, front swivel tire are not a part of an Electrostatic spray system. We could only supply a cart with 4 corner casters. 2 steer and 2 are fixed. Photos are available. All our current 4500 rigs have the cart described in the requirement.

• Must have handles and hose rack with ½ inch quick disconnects

• Our cart has 2 fixtures on the back to allow for coiled hose sets. Carts do not have quick disconnects on them. Is that specification referring to how the air & fluid hoses attach to the pump system? The quick disconnects are hooked to the air and fluid regulator.

• Must have pump with a flow of 60 cycles/ minute or higher

• 60 cycles per minute is a standard unit of measure to determine the gallons per minute output. NO pump should ever be run at that cycle speed. Agreeded.

• Pump must be stainless steel, chrome, zinc plating and tungsten carbide

• OK

• Fluid fittings must be carbon steel

• OK

• Fluid hose must be nylon

• Nylon fluid hose is always “Low pressure” rated. Is this specification meant to read “Nylon lined fluid hose”? Yes, nylon lined fluid hose.

• Air motor must have a minimum rating of 40 psi or higher

• OK

• Spray guns must have a minimum fluid pressure of 3000 psi or higher

• This should read “Maximum” fluid pressure of 3,000 psi. Yes.

• Working air pressure must have a psi of 100

• OK

• Must have maximum fluid operating temperature of 120 Fahrenheit, 48 Celsius Must have ambient temperature 41-122 Fahrenheit , 5-50 Celsius This should read “Must be able to handle a maximum temperature of…” Correct, maximum fluid op temp is 120F/48C.
