About this file

This is a Brand Name Justification document from the National Park Service (NPS) for CIS CAD Support and maintenance contract. The document justifies limiting competition to specific brand name products for Computer Information System (CIS) Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) software maintenance and support.

The requirement covers 5 Midwest Region Dispatch Centers located at Cuyahoga NP, Indiana Dunes NP, Gateway Arch NP, Buffalo River NR, and Mount Rushmore NM. The contract will be a 1-year base period (03/01/2025 - 02/28/2026) with 2 option years. The justification cites that only Computer Information Systems, Inc. and their sole authorized reseller TribalCo can provide direct support and software updates for the existing CIS CAD system. Transitioning to another manufacturer would require a new Authority to Operate (ATO) process taking 2 years and approximately $100,000, plus additional equipment costs. The CIS CAD system currently operates in a virtual environment housed on NPS servers in the Omaha, NE MWRO Data Center. This will be a firm-fixed-price contract awarded under simplified acquisition procedures.
